Blaentrothy Cottages — Hotel in Great Britain

We have rented many cottages in Britain but Blaentrothy cottage in Tintern was absolutely horrendous.

Beware of Beaufort Cottage - it is simply a jerry built tip, right in the middle of Tintern Abbey's HUGE parking area AND the end of this cottage is also the public toilets - with doors slamming from early morn to sunset plus the odeur.

The floor tiles are loose and I tripped over a couple almost crashing into the microscopic dining room table whose chair cannot fit under it - just a show piece.

The kitchen was filthy, the fridge at check-in was exhibiting life signs and there was a huge bin bag outside with empty beer and wine bottles....

And when contacting Blaentrothy by phone all we got was a equally pissed off female employee, Caroline, I think, who informed us that it wasn't their cottage and we should take up our grievances with the owner.

We had to leave 2 days early as the experience was dismall !!! Later upon writing and complaining - of course with no response - we decided to warn people off.

You are hereby warned !!!

Blaentrothy are expensive and...

We have used Blaentrothy cottages for the last 6 years and have stopped in various cottages over the years. I very rarely use any other company as the cost and standard of accommodation with Blaentrothy is outstanding. The booking system is super simple and very easy to use.
