Blarcreen House — Hotel in Great Britain

This place was the loveliest stay of many lovely stays we had in Scotland. It is a small manor house down a long one lane road, on the grounds of a historic property that is still actively farmed. Total quiet. The water, the skies and the sheep make you happy to close out the rest of the world. Dierdre and David have created a welcoming and peaceful haven. The perfect, minimal decor focuses your attention out the windows to the ever-changing light and landscape views. The rooms are luxurious and the attention to detail makes you feel blissfully pampered. David serves a spectacular breakfast, and being foodies, they will direct you to Michelin starred restaurants nearby. ||We just walked. We crossed the fields of sheep and hiked along the lake. Blarcreen House is a wonderful, stylish, authentic property, situated in a fabulously, tranquil, idyllic location close to the shore of Loch Etive. It is surrounded by stunning scenery and is frequented by an abundance of native wildlife. Blarcreen is a fabulous place to stay for a relaxing vacation, but for those seeking adventure, it is also only a short drive from some of Scotland's most iconic and dramatic attractions eg Glencoe, Castle Stalker, Kilchurn Castle, The picturesque town of Oban, the Isle of Karrera and the impressive Ben Cruachan to name a few. All of which provide unparalleled exploration, hiking and photographic opportunities. David and Deirdre are fabulous hosts. Nothing was too much trouble during our stay, everything was taken care of and we really were made to feel at home. Blarcreen House is a delicious slice of heaven on earth 💖 The location is stunning, the house is enchanting, the decor sublime, the bed & bedding are sumptuous, the toiletries luxurious and the attention to detail is extraordinary! David & Deidre are the most wonderful, hospitable, genuinely lovely hosts who made our stay feel very special, yet home-from-home and have guaranteed that we will return!! But the biggest, most fantastic surprise for us was the food, both David & Deidre are clearly fabulous cooks 💖 From the scrumptious, hearty breakfast to the truly wonderful dinners, we were spolit with the freshest local produce cooked to perfection!
