We stayed as a bridal party across the two lodges for our wedding down the road at Balfriesh Barns. The lodges were spotless, have a hot tub and sauna which offered some well needed stress relief during our stay. The location is peaceful with beautiful views across to surrounding hills and the Black Isle (perfect for your morning coffee). The host Jo was very helpful and accommodating as well. Fully recommend and fingers crossed we are back at some point in the future! Thanks so much, The Taylors

We’ve just returned home from a week stay in the Aurea lodge and none of us wanted to leave and all agreed that the lodge would be a great family home. It’s very spacious, very comfortable, well furnished and supplied with everything you need. It’s in a fabulous location with great views for miles and also on a clear night the night sky was amazing. Would we return and recommend to friends and family, of course we would and will.

Stunning property in a gorgeous location. Not too far from Inverness, local supermarkets Loch Ness, etc. We visited Almelvich beach, which is definitely worth a visit. Property was amazing, hot tub sauna, well equipped kitchen, towels, books, films and games. Downstairs bedrooms have ensuite, which was beneficial for my mum and aunt. The scenery was amazing. We were lucky we had some gorgeous weather.

A lovely and well equipped lodge which we have really enjoyed this past week. However we have been left with a very bitter taste in our mouths after receiving a message from the owners within hours of leaving. After making every effort to follow the huge number of rules set out by the owners we were incredibly disappointed to get complaints about scratches on a glass table (we played cards and ate dinner at this table so I can’t believe we caused these) and a complaint that we hadn’t packed the linen correctly which apparently was dirty with makeup despite none of us wearing makeup all week. Because of covid you are asked to strip all the bed linen, towels, tea towels etc before you leave and pack them into bags/hampers along with emptying all bins. You are expected to do all this and check out an hour earlier than normal. The complaints around the linen stated they had checked it and it had makeup on it so and it hadn’t been packed correctly and she had to re-pack it. If we have to do this to protect against covid, why is it being inspected before going to the cleaners?! If you use a towel for a week it gets dirty! For £2500 a week I am surprised they are being so petty. I wish I hadn’t bothered making such an effort to help now. Won’t be...

We was due to go here in May 2020 but due to the current Covid 19 our holiday was cancelled by the owners. They were absolutely dreadful to deal with, and would not give us a refund, only offering a change in dates. As there was no other date we could go on as this was ment to be a family holiday and we could not all get the same week off again to go, we again asked for a refund. We were completely ignored when contacting the owners both Jo and Simon by email. My husband phoned Simon and was spoken to very abruptly. Simon told my husband that he was busy as he ran a farm, and would phone him back when he was ready. We are still waiting to hear from both Jo or Simon and although our holiday has now passed, I find this very unprofessional from both of them that they have got our money £1575 and yet we never got to go on our holiday. I would advise anyone who is thinking of booking with these people to avoid or you too could become a victim like ourselves. We are currently seeking...

5 of us celebrating our 60 th birthdays we had the best weekend in this beautiful lodge . The decor was lovely and it was very cozy! Very spacious inside and out . Everything you need for cooking was there . Surround sound throughout the lodge and outside. The hot tub and sauna was amazing I spent 2 days in the hot tub with fabulous views in this beautiful part of Scotland. I would recommend this lodges for a fantastic holiday. I hope to go back soon . Also very helpful owners and Michelle a lovely lady who meets you on arrival ....
