I really don’t even know where to begin. |From the moment we checked in we were appalled. Here is the email I sent to head office. ||Hi myself and my family checked into one of your parks yesterday 12/09. Bodmin holiday park to be precise. |From the moment we arrived we were certainly not impressed. The reception staff were very unwelcoming, telling us to come back at 3:50 to check in. We arrived at 3:54 and was then told to come back at 4pm as check in isn’t available until 4pm, as they hadn’t heard from the housekeeping team about our accommodation. We arrived again at 4pm With a Que of people trying to check in, which is understandable, however our accommodation still was not ready as the cleaning supervisors were checking it. We eventually were able to check in. Firstly I need to say myself and my daughter both work in a holiday park in Devon, we are supervisors we also clean the accommodation as well. But the absolute state of the accommodation what we checked into was appalling. There was mess down the toilet , the floors had not been mopped. Pubic hair everywhere on the floor. toilet rolls missing , pillowcases missing, no pans for the oven , I wiped the floor with tissue to show the manager of the park, she was appalled too, the cleaners came back but only cleaned 1 bathroom? And didn’t put any toilet roll, nor pans or pillow cases. My husband went back down to reception this morning to ask for pans for the oven and he was told we would receive some , and someone would bring them up to our accommodation, which never happened. Prior to all of this my husband received a phone call less than 48hrs before our arrival stating that the restaurant is closed for the duration of our stay. We got told we would get an email of restaurants and pubs nearby, but never received any emails. We went to go down to the bar to grab a drink today, as we can’t get anything to eat and we got told that the bar is closed too! So we have been having to use a lot of petrol to go out and about , as there is absolutely nothing on this park! The staff are very unhelpful and rude. We have been told from park holidays directly as I phoned them and told them about this issue , that we are able to use their sister parks however the nearest to our park is 25mins away! I’m not willing to drive 25mins down the road just to get a glass of wine!!! This is all very frustrating and an absolute joke. |Myself and my family have said we are looking to get some type of compensation for all the problems that I have stated above. As this is just not acceptable. And if you aren’t able to provide us with any compensation we will have to take this matter even further.||I am still awaiting a response. I will attach SOME pictures I have taken, this does not appear awful on camera, but I can assure you it is vile. |Stay away from this park if you...

PARK HOLIDAYS BODMIN,HANG YOUR HEAD IN SHAME.|So as a party of 11 we had two bungalows 68 and 69, myself and my husband paid for both bungalows for a family get together in celebration of his birthday/retirement.|We have stayed at the park a view times as we have always find it a good base but have noticed the bungalows getting a little tired so we kind of expected that, But when you pay at high season prices you do not expect to walk into a bedroom with a drawer knob not on the drawer, a sink that seems to never empty,0ne pillow pair person per room and the most cheapest of pillows ever, when a 55inch telly in the living room breaks replaced with a 36 inch with a room that big absolutely ridiculous and so many faults in both bungalows, some photos in but couldn't download the rest.|The 1 pillow policy is so tight, one lady who was in reception asked for extra pillows and was told in a polite friendly manner that asda was down the road where she could buy some??? apparently they had no extra anywhere else which is amazing because if you was ill or had a accident with the 1 pillow then you are screwed and the fact i have heart failure and need 2 pillows at least i went and bought some.|On the whole the 2 bungalows we hired are very tired and in need of some attention, it strikes me that Park Holidays are only interested in selling their luxury lodges they are first priority, which you can hire and comes with 55inch telly, towels fluffy slippers and robes lol what a joke.|Park Holidays stop grabbing at the money and treating your guest as money tickets, re invest, employ more cleaners and definitely give them the time and money to do proper cleans I found items still left in the dish washer.|we had book to go back this Friday for a weekend break but have taken a loss in money and going to your other site (Trevella) I hope to have a better experience.|Staff was mainly pleasant and the gm was lovely, but the down side 1 pool table and the bar is open till 11pm but sadly the rest of the family felt very uncomfortable as because we was normally the only ones in playing pool and drinking they felt with the mopping and cleaning and basically wanting to go home they felt uncomfortable and said they just wouldn't go back there again.|Before the reply of why did I not report the bungalow cleaning issues etc. as said the cleaners had been in so I am very sure they would of surely notice this themselves.|If this had been a budget holiday I could perhaps have given a bit more grace, but the fact this is in peak then the company should be as interested in ALL their property's rather than the Platinum ones and the ones they are trying to sell and not |" Oh this will do" Just all very sad really.|I will be sending an email to the...

We have been here several years and booked a lodge over the phone. On arrival we were shocked we had been given a Static caravan dressed up and named as a lodge. The hot water and heating does not work and we have been here 1 full night and had no shower and had to boil the kettle to wash up. We ran the Coffee machine through and the water resembeled puddle water, one door is broken and the park engineers (not heating engineers) just checked the pipe work under the Caravan and the pipes burst leaving us with no water at all!The Park and head office are so bloody minded about the situation and expect us to spend our holiday going through a complaints procedure. I will update later and add more pictures but In summary this was a lovely park but park holidays are turning it into a typical static park like Haven etc...

Part 2 - got back from being out for the day with a note on the door saying all repaired, tested and working. To our joy the hot water was working, so out of curiosity we tried the heating, which still does not work! We called the reception but no answer, called the EMERGANCY NUMBER but no reply and went straight to voicemail. We have left a message but still no response. Thanks team Park Holidays!!! Finally got heating and hot water, no contact from the managment who just hid and skulked about but the maintenance guys are good to be fair.

Tuesday night and the neighbors caravan looses power and Wednesday morning lost heating and hot water. Poor people, getting the same treatment from the management 😢

In summary this is not the same park it was and you can see that over the next few years there will be many more lease owned caravans in drag. I dare say the actual lodges may slowly disappear to cram in more caravans. Such a shame as this was a gem of a park once.

To reply to the owner, please read above. I have already tried to contact the park directly and park holidays phone line.....

30.09.2024 Followed the complaints procedure as recommended. Park Holidays asked the General Manager to investigate who has covered his own back and fabricated his own version of events. Nothing like marking your own homework! 😂

11.10.24 Park Holidays and the park are just ignoring the issues and not acknowledging anything.

We stayed during the first week of September, when prices are much lower than in August. We got cabin number 39, and we were two adults and two small dogs. The staff was always very attentive, they called us several times to check if we had any questions, and since we arrived late, they made the check-in process really easy 👍🏻. They gave us a little folder with all the information and even some treats for our dogs 👍🏻. The cabin itself is very pretty and well equipped 👍🏻. However, they don’t provide towels or tea towels (they did inform us beforehand) 👍🏻👎🏻. We were told that since it was a pet-friendly house, it was of lower quality than the non-pet-friendly ones. Things to keep in mind: – IT HAS CARPETS EVERYWHERE, which with a dog is really uncomfortable and unpleasant 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 – The carpets were obviously dirty 👎🏻 – The sofa upholstery was dirty 👎🏻 – The chair covers were torn 👎🏻 – Many windows didn’t close properly 👎🏻 – Very important: in cabin 39 the double bed mattress was broken 😫 we couldn’t sleep well because we sank in and the springs made noise. We had to sleep in the downstairs bedrooms, which was very uncomfortable 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Other issues: the Wi-Fi is paid 👎🏻, the jacuzzi didn’t work, and the shower was in poor condition 👎🏻. On the positive side, since it was September, we only paid £60 per night, which is a very affordable and fair price 👌🏻. But paying more for the current state of the place wouldn’t be worth it 👎🏻. The surroundings are magical, the facilities are nice, everything is very clean, green, and well organized. It also includes access to a heated pool if you book in advance 👍🏻.

Had a fabulous stay at Bodmin Holiday Park. In the perfect spot to stay and chill or to go exploring. Stayed in a 3 bed lodge with hot tub that could accommodate up to 8 people. (2 in lounge on sofa bed.) Rooms were bright and spacious and kitchen was a large open style, with all conveniences including cooker, m/wave, washing machine, dishwasher and full size fridge freezer. Swimming pool was book able and there were lovely cut pathways to take the dog for a good wander as well as a large footgolf and tennis courts. There were also fishing lakes ;but we didn’t access /use them.) We used the park as a base to visit north and south Cornwall. Not far from Bodmin or St Austell. We ventured to Perranporth/Newquay, Charlestown and Mevagissey and Padstow on different days, at our leisure, and headed back to the lodge to chill in the hot tub, perfect! The park seemed to have a number of guests and we had neighbours in residence but it was very quiet mon-fri in June. The bar/restaurant were closed tues and weds eve which was a shame as we were only there for 4 nights. But the pub a 5 min drive down the road (The Lanivet Inn) was perfect for our requirements, including the dog. Have stayed at a number of park locations (in another one as I write this, the following week) but Bodmin is by far my favourite for its uniqueness and charm.
