The positives are that the pods are clean, warm and comfortable. But it was not what we expected, in terms of shared facilities and location.|There was only 1 bathroom, with 1 toilet and 1 separate shower for 3 pods, at least one of which is for a family of 4. I had the impression there was a kitchenette in the pods but it’s 1 shared kitchen with 1 small fridge for all. I feel the description of the property is not as clear as it could be, but perhaps it’s how I read it.|When we arrived the fridge was almost full with the food from just one other pod. Thankfully it was just us and 1 other pod when we stayed. The toilet opens directly into the kitchen. All of the shared facilities are located in a self contained part of the owners house which is a short walk to each pod. The pods are not in a private location as I expected. It’s actually all very close together, the view is not special by any means because your essentially at the side of someones house. |The owner while trying to be friendly, we felt was a little intrusive, commenting on our bbq and then joining us while toasting marshmallows. We’d have preferred more privacy. I also had to ask for toilet roll and paper towels to be replenished. 1 roll had been left for 6 people. |Overall I felt it was very poor value for money. The experience was not the unique and peaceful one we had been hoping for. Unfortunately we would not recommend it. Our feeling is that you would get much better value in another property when you consider you have to bring your own bedding and use...
Read moreThe site has just 4 pods. Ours was very large for 4 and there was space to sit inside, which could then be turned into beds. The mattresses were comfy and there was a small tv and lights. The pods were spaced out with a view of a field of sheep and each had its own pic nic table. ||||The facilities are in the back of the owners house and include a home from home kitchen, toilet and shower. I could not fault these, except that there was only one shower and toilet for all the pods.||||The owner was very friendly and you were able to check the hens for, and buy fresh eggs, and you could also buy bbqs, burgers and firewood.||||It was a very good site and I would be happy to stay again, however compared to other very good pods it was quite expensive,...
Read moreUpon arrival we were met by Jenny and shown to the deluxe camping pod with its own en-suite facilities that we had booked and we were not disappointed.|Location was very quiet and relaxing with views over the fields.|The accommodation was spotlessly clean and everything you could want/need for a short stay.|We purchased 2 of the best marinated ribeye steaks from Castletown butchers (short drive away) for our first nights meal and subsequently returned the following day and chose a mixture of bbq meats and had a lovely meal the second evening.|All in all Jenny and her husband James were excellent and made our stay very enjoyable.|Should we find our selves in this area again we would not hesitate in booking...
