We booked for 3 nights at Brambling fields Malton, we arrived to find the b+b to be 4 miles away from Malton adjacent to a noisy main road overlooking nothing but fields, immediately we were extremely disappointed as our plan was to take walks in the evening into town for evening meals and just a wander for exercise , so now for 3 days we have no option but to take the car every evening for our meals this was really annoying , on entering the property we were confronted by Amanda in a mask who immediately laid down the law regarding no shoes to be worn in the house and masks to be worn in the house at all times she insisted we removed our shoes and put them in the shoe rack before showing us our room, this was starting to annoy me seriously, so there I was in bare feet as I had sandals on walking upstairs I was not happy. The room was very good spotless everywhere , I could then see why she was so insistent on the no shoes allowed, the whole house was pristine the trouble is I was on holiday and the last thing you want on holiday is to be bossed around , we decided we had little option but to put up with it . The breakfasts were good I must say Amanda will do her very best to make sure your stay is a happy one she really will go out of her way to please , but I did say she should make it plain that her address is 4 miles away from Malton had we known that we would never have booked in the first place . So if you want spotless accomodation miles from civilisation I highly recommend it otherwise...
Read moreWe stayed for the bank holiday weekend, the room was immaculate and we were made to feel so welcome! Fresh scones and tea on arrival and a beautifully cooked breakfast each morning! The location was fantastic as it was out of the way but also down a track and your back onto the main road to travel anywhere! The bed was lovely and comfy, the tv offered lots of channels, wifi was spot on and the overall feel was a home from home! Being 7 months pregnant cleanliness and comfort were top of my list for a b&b and i must say this is by far the nicest place I’ve ever stayed at! The price was incredible as well!! Thankyou so much for a wonderful stay, we have already recommended you to all our family...
Read moreWe stayed here for two nights while visiting friends in Malton. Amanda was very welcoming when we arrived, she had put a pot of tea and home made scones in our room which was a lovely touch. We stayed in the yellow and purple room which was great as it had a sliding door which blocked you off from the rest of the house so we could go between the two rooms and bathroom in private. The rooms were very clean and my daughter said it was the comfiest bed she had slept in. We were leaving early on the last day 6am so Amanda made us a pack up of our choice breakfast Sandwhich’s and home made flapjack with a bottle of juice each. I would definitely recommend Brambling Fields as some...
