Brook Barn bed and breakfast — Hotel in Great Britain

I was dreading visiting a b&b as I only stay in hotels, but everywhere in Liverpool was far too expensive. This place is a hidden gem. It's a converted barn, which has been turned into a boutique hotel. There are security gates which keep you and your car safe, a lovely large garden where you can sit out and look at the wonderful views. The room was beautiful, clean and had everything you needed. The shower was amazing, I didn't want to get out. The owners were so helpful and friendly. Told us to help ourselves to anything in the kitchen we wanted. In the morning they cooked us such a good breakfast and there was loads of food put out, we literally couldn't eat any more. To top our visit off, they had a wonderful little puppy called Lulu. We booked this BB for Liverpool airport, as it’s very nearby, which was very handy. |Unfortunately it’s a little too near as it felt like you were on the runway the planes came that low, they were very noisy & lasted til around 2:30am. |The room was tiny with only one bedside table which was a little odd, and the bed was rather hard. But the worst thing was that the walls were paper thin & you could hear everything from the next room! And unfortunately for us they were talking & active until around 3am. Having an early morning flight this wasn’t ideal. |There were electric gizmo’s but I’d rather have a good nights sleep rather than a remote to turn the light off. |The outside was a little shoddy, the grass needed cutting & a bit of gardening...

I stayed at Karen and Ian's B&B August - November 2017 for several days a week on a weekly basis for business purposes and I can honestly say it is a lovely homely place to stay. It is a perfect half way house between a hotel and a B&B. Ian and Karen are a really, welcoming, friendly and approachable couple and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are modern, clean and all have lovely en suite facilities. The shared breakfast/common sitting area is great and a real bonus is the kitchen with microwave, electric oven, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities available for guest use.
