Browson Bank B&B — Hotel in Great Britain

This B&B is an absolutely stunning place to stay. |Situated in a beautiful location surrounded by lovely countryside, it is quiet, scenic and private but very handy for the A66 (which cannot be heard from the premises). |The rooms are furnished to a very high standard with attention to detail and comfort. |The owners are very accommodating and friendly. (I was met with the offer of a pot of tea which was served with biscuits in the guests lounge. They even offered to loan me a bike to allow me to cycle to the excellent Smallways pub which is only a mile away and serves great meals!) |Breakfast is superb: cereal, fresh fruit salad, juices, full English etc. Made to a high standard and served in a lovely room in the main building. |Guests have the use of a very well furnished and comfortable living room which has views of the surrounding area and is a very pleasant place to relax. |I cannot recommend this accommodation more highly! |The Piano Man won't be staying anywhere else when on business in the area in...

We stayed here for just one night on or way back home from our tour of the lake District and Scotland.||Being a working farm there was plenty of off-road parking. Access to the B & B is down a bumpy un-made road just before a dual carriageway off the main A66 road, about 7 miles from Scotch Corner. If using a SatNav, ignore the road to Dalton, which is where it will take you if you program the postcode in. Richmond, a pretty town with many restaurants, is about 8 miles away.||The room, in a separate building, was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Kim was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble for her. We had previously been for one night two years ago and were determined to return one day. We booked four nights this time. The situation of this working farm is idyllic, in a valley, surrounded by fields of wheat. The accommodation is spotlessly clean. There was a fridge in our room which was a real benefit as the weather was so good. The beds were extremely comfortable. The wifi was excellent and reliable Breakfast was made by Kim, our very friendly hostess, who chatted away to us as if we were family. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
