Went for three nights for my partners daughters 40th birthday celebration. 6 adults and 9 children ranging from 11 to 5 year old twins. The place is lovely with accommodation on two floors for I believe around 20 people. The Owner Malcolm and his wife are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble for them. Three excellent hot tubs and the house is very spacious and many things are provided such as all cutlery glasses etc. And there is a fantastic fire burner in the conservatory with all logs supplied. A spacious dining room to enjoy a more formal sit down meal as well as a decent sized lounge. Fantastic views of the Nothumberland/Cumbria border. There is a sloping ceiling in some upstairs rooms which may take a tad of getting used to especially if needing the loo in the dark.....but apart from that little foible this place is absolutely...

Tucked between verdant rolling hills on the border between Cumbria and Northumberland, Bushnook is a stone's throw from the most interesting part of Hadrian's Wall. We went for a walk from Steel Rigg to Sycamore Gap and it was breathtaking in more ways than one :) It's also close to the Pennines, Keilder forest and Newcastle.
After a warm welcome from Chris and Nic, we made the most of the hot tub looking out onto fields of fluffy lambs and birdwatching. Then we helped ourselves to a local beer and sampled Hadrian's gin from the honesty bar.
The rooms are very comfortable and Chris cooks the best breakfast this side of the wall that'll set you up for any adventure (such as wild swimming in Crammel Lin waterfall nearby!)
So if you're looking for a relaxing, rejuvenating and interesting staycation, Bushnook Farmhouse is it!...

Just came back from staying at bush nook farm, I don’t normally write reviews but the service that we received was excellent, we went for a surprise family reunion/wedding anniversary ||Malcolm and his family are the perfect hosts the place is spot less, the family are friendly and will help you with anything that you need. ||There is plenty of space for a large crowd, we only had 7 people but originally there would have been 12 but there would have been plenty of space for everyone if the all went. The grounds are lovely and with the added touch of the hot tubs just makes everything more special ||There is plenty sites round about to enjoy or even just spend the whole time relaxing...
