We stayed in the Jungle Book Safari tent in August 2024 with 3 children under 9.

We were really impressed with the accommodation and the site. However, there is one reason I would not recommend that friends and family stay here since they opened the wedding venue in 2024.

The accommodation was clean, well presented and just about everything you need for a week away. The kids enjoyed seeing the animals which are very close and exciting for young ones. However, on the booking, it is not made clear that not only is there a wedding venue on site, but this is a teepee (canvas) and it is right behind the accommodation. On the Wednesday night we had to put up with several hours of a DJ playing loud dance music with heavy base lines and they are permitted to do this till midnight. I think the highlight was my 7yo asking late at night what “smack my b*h up” was. The music was so loud that you could not watch the TV or do anything relaxing in the safari tent, and the children could not get to sleep.

After the weddings (2 whilst we were there) you are next to the carpark for guests where drunken shouting and spilling out happens, followed by inebriated wedding guests using the accommodation next door and continuing to make lots of noise. I tried to discuss this the following day with the site staff (‘Supervisor’) and she told me this was one of the first weddings and agreed with me that it was inappropriate and that she would be fed up in my position and I left it with her to call the owners. The owners refused to speak to me and said they weren’t willing to do anything because it said in their email 5 days before arrival that “there are events which go on until midnight”. I did explain to the supervisor that the time I need to know that there will be lots of noise and disruption is the time I book, months before when making a decision, not 5 days before. This also unfortunately fell on deaf ears with the owners who still refused to speak to me. An apology at the time would have gone a long way – It is ok to say we got it wrong and we are learning..

In conclusion, this is a lovely, ‘instagram-a-ble’ holiday location with some really nice bits like the animals and the hot tub, and the sleeping set up for families. However, you take the big risk that some of your evenings (and nights) may be ruined by weddings within 100m of your accommodation. Then when you have an issue, you will only be able to speak to site staff who have no decision making authority, and cannot actually do anything for you.

My advice to the owners is two fold:

To decide – you are either a tranquil family stay location OR a wedding venue – in its current set up, you cannot do both, and

Deal with issues at the time – having a conversation with people, and understanding their frustrations goes a long way. Ignoring them at the time...

Redberth Gardens is fantastic. From the great location to the glamping pod itself. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

A well laid out site, with exceptionally friendly staff. You will not regret your stay here for 1 second.

The Calon pod we hired was soo nice. All the home comforts you need and more. Its own hot tub was just perfect as we spent lots of time in there having fun.

Spacious and clean and full cooking facilities was only made better with the kind welcome gifts left for us by Carys and Rhys.

They went over and above to ensure our stay was comfortable, with a welcome guide packed with all you need to know for the local area 😊.

Location wise we were never far from something to do. Folly farm, heatherton, Tenby and Saundersfoot. We were spoilt for choice.

The hire of the pizza oven was brilliant. We really enjoyed our own cooked pizzas (think it was beginners luck they turned out so well).

And then we have the animals! Lots of pigs, ducks, llamas and goats just free roaming was such fun. My daughter squealed with excitement every time we saw them.

To say we loved it was an understatement. We have already recommended it to friends and family and cannot wait to come back.

Thanks again Carys, Rhys and team. What a wonderful...

Amazing setting that has been designed to be extra child and dog friendly! We stayed for a long weekend in November and upon arriving we could not believe how well set up the cottage was with complimentary drinks and snacks to keep the kids happy! Underfloor heating gave the place a really warm feel (just what was needed in November!).

We brought our dog and he settled in straight away and the external area was fully enclosed so really safe for him to do a bit of exploring, he also liked the dog snacks that were left for him. Our cottage overlooked the ponds and wildlife and as soon as we stepped outside onto the patio area, the pigs, alpacas, geese and ducks came rushing up to give us a warm welcome. Carys and Rhys (the hosts) could not have been more helpful and gave us a really warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them to sort for us. We spent the weekend exploring the area, including the nearby Carew Castle and Tidal Mill.

The host mentioned that they will soon be opening a new phase of the complex so we’re looking forward to returning as a family there this year to see what’s new! Fantastic...

Had a great couple of nights here in their glamping pod (Cariad), we really enjoyed our stay, the bed was really comfy, facilities were great, maybe our only gripe was the sofa being a little uncomfortable (but it is a sofa bed and they usually aren't great) we were outside a lot, so to be fair we hardly used it apart from late in the evening. We're definitely looking at coming back when the weather gets warmer again, the location is excellent, your a short drive away from Tenby and Saundersfoot and the same for other attractions in the area like Folly Farm, Manor Park and Heatherton, it's an easy 5* from us
