Not sure why there were so many 1 star reviews, but it made me sure I needed to leave this myself. We stayed in the Nyth y Barcud Treehouse and it was magical. You can hear the gentle sound of the stream while you're in bed, it's got a decent shower and an amazing woodland view (with a glass panel set into the floor!). The bed was very comfy, with plenty of blankets to keep us warm. We used the log burner both nights and the place heated quickly. There is just a 2 hob stove and no fridge, but we just put the cool-box provided out on the balcony to keep cold. You are literally staying in a tree so there are some bugs about, and you can track dirt in - but all part of being so close to nature. We used the on-site sauna (additional charge £25 for 2hrs) which was decent! We will be highly recommending this place in the future!

We stayed in Nyth y Barcudi Treehouse and LOVED it. Dog friendly, lovely warm shower, all the facilities to make a fire quick, a self-serve sauna, falling asleep to the sounds of the river and a 10/10 fish n chip shop close by (Hennigans). You see the odd person but it really felt secluded and lots of great walks at your doorstep. Loved the lacl of Wi-Fi and spent the evenings playing cards and watching the stars. I saw some comments saying it wasn't clean but it was spotless for us minus the odd spider on the windows which is to be expected in the woods! Please note- just a hob or outdoor fire pit to cook (no toaster/microwave)

Absolutely beautiful spot in the Welsh countryside. Great balance of remote, quiet, peaceful countryside and only about 2 miles away is the main Machynlleth town with all the amenities. The farm has multiple venue types, we stayed in the treehouse, and it was a brilliant weekend. Would 100% recommend for a different type of getaway.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The bed in the treehouse was absolutely horrific! We had to leave early. Didn’t sleep and didn’t get any reimbursement for the stay we didn’t use even though it was not fit for purpose!! Found the owner very rude and obnoxious. It was also filthy. I realise it’s out in nature but they could clean before guests arrive. Ruined our mini break without even an apology. Really disappointed because we were so excited...
