WE CHOSE THIS VENUE DUE TO GOOD REVIEWS ( PODS NOT LODGES) FOR A SPECIAL WEEKEND WITH FRIENDS. ON ARRIVAL WE LOCATED THE LUXURIOUS LODGE AND LET OURSELVES IN TO DISCOVER A DIRTY SINK, DUSTY TV AND TABLE, BROKEN WASTE BIN, NO CLOCKS WORKING AND NO HAND SOAP WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PROVIDED. THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE WAS THAT THERE WAS NO HEATING OR HOT WATER. IT WAS COLD. EFFORTS WERE MADE TO CONACT THE OFFICE AND EMERGENCY NUMBER WITHOUT SUCCESS DUE TO IT BEING A BANK HOLIDAY. OFFICE CLOSED UNTIL THE FOLLOWING TUESDAY. A CARETAKER NOT EMPLOYED BY THE COMPANY FINALLY ATTENDED AND CALLED OUT A GAS ENGINEER WHO ATTENDED LATER THAT EVENING BUT AS HE WAS NOT QUALIFIED HE COULD NOT FIX BOILER STATING AN ERROR CODE F28 WAS THE PROBLEM INDICATING A IGNITION PROBLEM. SPECIAL BIRTHDAY MEAL HAD TO BE CANCELLED AS WE COULD NOT ATTEND. THE CARETAKER STATED AN ENGINEER WOULD ATTEND FIRST THING NEXT DAY,FIRST CALL, BUT THIS DID NOT HAPPEN UNTIL LATER CARETAKER GAVE US TWO BOTTLES OF UNPALATABLE WINE WHICH HE STATED WERE GIVEN TO HIM FROM PRE OUS GUESTS.. HE COULD NOT ASSIST ANY FURTHER AS HE WAS NOT EMPLOYED BY CAPLOR BUT HE WAS FRIENDLY. WE ASKED WHERE WE COULD SHOWER AND HE SHOWED US SHOWERS IN THE STABLE BLOCK WHICH WE USED BUT WERE ONLY FIT FOR ANIMALS AND PROBABLY A HEALTH HAZARD. I COULD NOT EVEN SHAVE IN THE SINK IN THE LODGE AS THE SINK WOULD NOT HOLD WATER. IN OUR OPINION WE FELT IT WEAS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND REQUESTED A FULL REFUND AS THE WHOLE WEEKEND WAS SCUPPERED. WE WERE ONLY OFFERED A REFUND FOR ONE NIGHT, WE FELT A FAIRER OFFER OF TWO NIGHTS REFUND WAS MORE APPROPRIATE. THE COMPANY REFUSED ALTHOUGH ADMITTING THEY NEED TO CHANGE THINGS. THAT WILL NOT HELP US AND WE CERTAINLY WOULD NOT GO THERE AGAIN. THE ONLY POSITIVE WAS THAT THE VIEWS WERE...

We stayed at the glamping pods that advertised themselves as dog-friendly, but our experience left us disappointed. We paid in full for 3 pods including a £50 refundable deposit and an extra £90 for a wood-fired hot tub. Unfortunately, we were never given instructions on how to use the hot tub, the 1st night when we went to use it, it was cold, the 2nd night and it ended up being far too hot to even get into—more like lava than relaxing. After our stay, the owner emailed us demanding an additional £60 for "damaged bedding" simply because our dog—who was accepted as part of their pet-friendly policy—had gotten some mud on it. In our opinion, this is cheeky and excessive, especially since it's nothing a proper wash couldn't fix. If you're going to allow pets, you should be prepared for a bit of dirt. The owner then said we had not paid the £50 deposit or £90 for the hot tub, screenshots were provided the response ' let's call it quits' Overall, the lack of guidance for the amenities and the unreasonable extra charges after departure left a sour taste. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re traveling with pets or expecting...

What a fantastic location. Herefordshire countryside and views of outstanding nature. We wanted a short break to escape and relax and Caplor provided in spades. Located almost equidistant between Ross on Wye and Hereford, it is well signposted and easy to find. Communication was all via email with no face to face contact and just reinforced the whole detox from people vibe, all emails received were clear and concise and explained everything you needed and included contact numbers should you need them? The pods are small but very cosy and fully equipped with kettle, complimentary tea and coffee, a microwave, 2 electric hobs, and a very decent sized fridge. The bathroom was surprisingly big with a full shower enclosure, toilet and sink. If you love your home comforts and want WiFi and all the digital convenience, then this is probably not for you. If, however, you like opening the barn style door and seeing birds and squirrels foraging for food right in front of you, wonderful views of the Herefordshire countryside, and enough amenities to keep you clean and dry then this is your place.

Had a brilliant stay here. Not enough characters to share all the good bits. Quiet site, easily accessible from the main road, so not having to worry abiut si gle track roads. Loved that there was tea, coffee and some UHT milk to make a brew. Bed was comfortable and was out like a light each night. Good shower to say its electric, plenty of bathroom storage space aswell. The blackout blind was good, and the door curtain was blackout aswell. Plenty of sockets, no fighting for the phone chargers. Well supplied kitchen utensils and pans. Very quiet site, but is a working farm, so did have the odd dog barks and horses neighing. Communication via e-mail with Sandy was brilliant, quick replies and helpful responses. Would ABSOLUTELY stay here again if heading to the hereford area. Plenty to do in the area, and helpful leaflets in the pods. Pot luck what leaflets you get, but we shared between 2 pods to organise. Thank you Sandy, Liz and the team.

Very clean, well furnished pods with everything you need for a getaway except food, tea and coffee provided. I was able to cook a proper meal with the equipment provided with a fairly large fridge with ice box to store food. The en suite bathroom/shower made for a pleasant stay, shower gel etc included. Plenty of hot water and heating so nice and cosy. I took a couple of rugs and a tv just to add the final touch especially as the daylight hours are few this time of year. Highly recommend this place for singles or couples, with lots of walking opportunities and tourist attractions nearby
