We had a wonderful stay at Carnbren B&B in Lairg! Chris is a warm and welcoming host who helped us feel at home from the moment we arrived.

The rooms are comfortable, light and spacious, perfect for a restful night after a day of cycling on our JOGLE.

We appreciated the secure garage for storing our bikes — a thoughtful touch for cyclists.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with a generous spread including croissants, fresh fruit salad, eggs cooked to order, and the most delicious homemade yoghurt. Tip to future guests: You can pre-order your evening meal which we would highly recommend if you're staying in. Chris is a wonderful cook.

I stayed overnight at Carnbren as part of a cycle trip from Land's End to John O'Groats. We were switched last-minute from Lairg Hotel, because it had heating problems with some rooms. At the end of a long day's ride, Carnbren was the perfect place to stay. The twin room was spacious and with plenty of hanging space for two people sharing. Only a short walk to Lairg Hotel, to get dinner and drinks. Chris was very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was served VERY efficiently (important when you need to get out the door and back on the road quickly!).
