We had a wonderful stay at Carnbren B&B in Lairg! Chris is a warm and welcoming host who helped us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms are comfortable, light and spacious, perfect for a restful night after a day of cycling on our JOGLE. We appreciated the secure garage for storing our bikes — a thoughtful touch for cyclists. Breakfast was a real highlight, with a generous spread including croissants, fresh fruit salad, eggs cooked to order, and the most delicious homemade yoghurt. Tip to future guests: You can pre-order your evening meal which we would highly recommend if you're staying in. Chris is a wonderful cook. Would absolutely stay here again if we're back in the area. Thank you for taking care of us, Chris.

This is a delightful BB located near the loch shin. The accommodation is spotless and Chris the host makes you feel at home and welcome, there is nothing too much for her. I spent a total of four nights here and was tempted to book another four, i felt so at ease, unfortunately i had other commitments. Don't take my word for it, give it a try-you won't be disappointed. Great host, great place and a fantastic place to rest.

A lovely traditional B &B overlooking the River Shin, very comfortable and welcoming, we had a great time during our stay at Carnbren. Our breakfasts were delicious and filling with lots of choice. Chris was a wonderful host, really friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Would definitely book again.

I stayed overnight at Carnbren as part of a cycle trip from Land's End to John O'Groats. We were switched last-minute from Lairg Hotel, because it had heating problems with some rooms. At the end of a long day's ride, Carnbren was the perfect place to stay. The twin room was spacious and with plenty of hanging space for two people sharing. Only a short walk to Lairg Hotel, to get dinner and drinks. Chris was very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was served VERY efficiently (important when you need to get out the door and back on the road quickly!). I accidentally left a small item in the room that had sentimental value even though it wasn't worth much. Chris mailed it to my home at personal expense, which was greatly...

We had a lovely stay at Carnbren B&B during our time on our JOGLE. From the moment we arrived, our host, Chris, made us feel genuinely welcome.
