Lovely caravan site in the countryside. Best accessed from Junction 9 of the M9 / M80 and down the lane through West Plean. Best not to arrive before midday to avoid caravans and motorhomes leaving the site. On entering the site, there's a notice board that says which pitch has been allocated for your booking. There are 10 pitches, 5 in a CAMC CL site and 5 additional ones. All are reasonably level and gravelled hard standing. The CAMC pitches have electricity and water on the pitch. With a set of toilets at the top of the CL area. Additionally, there's an excellent new block with toilet and showers at the bottom of the site. There's a useful information hut with details of local things to do. Importantly, there's a good washing machine (£5 per load) and there's even a dish washer! The Mobile Data connection is poor in the area, but there is a site WiFi for a £1 a day. It was a bit up and down when we were there but the owners know about it now. So hopefully it will be better soon. TV reception was good. There are also two nice looking tented cabins in the field nearest the lane. The owner was really nice and especially Trevor who deputised whilst the owners were away. It's a nice site that we would be happy to return to. 😎👍👍👍👍

This is a wonderful tiny campsite aimed primarily at Campervans and caravans. The setup is a little site but given the rural private and perfect location, the size can be forgiven. Surrounded by fields which are beautiful all times of day. Huge pitches which have both water and electricity connections. Facilities are awesome except the shower can be a little tricky to use. Massive space and extremely clean though great to use much more modern than available at most other sites. The tiny burn you cross to get to the toilets and shower is adorable. Absolutely worth a night on two.

A last-minute one night stay was accommodated in the evening, and what a pleasant surprise on arrival. A very friendly greeting from the owner. The site is well presented with lovely bathrooms and amenities. I was so pleased to be pitched at the foot of an iron age fort! Beautiful British bluebells were starting to bloom, and I slept soundly. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Spent the early part of August at Carr's Hill with our caravan. I have to say what a brilliant Caravan Club Certified Location (CL). They also have additional private pitches in a separate area, so worth enquiring even if you aren't a member. It's wonderfully laid out with all the facilities you need for a peaceful break along with some nice scenery.

Grant and his family made every effort to make us and our friend very welcome. Incidentally, they also even provided us with additional caravan accommodation for our additional holiday companion, which really made for a brilliant holiday.Facilities were well maintained and kept clean throughout our almost 10 day stay. The site is perfect for those wanting a quiet break away from the hustle and bustle. Most pitches have their own water tap, so if you've got a direct connect waterhog/aquaroll, there's no trundling the water carrier.

Stirling is literally a 10 minute drive, Glasgow only 30 minutes. The location is so close to Stirling yet far enough into the countryside, you might think you were a good half an hours drive away. There's horses in the field next to the site (no noise or bother at all), and they have an unusually spacious holiday chalet on site too.

We have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this site to any other Caravaners or holidaymakers that want to visit Stirling, but want something out in the country. It was...

What a tranquil place to stay. We booked 2 nights and were immediately impressed by the size of the pitch. The shower and toilet area is very clean and it was great to have an electric shower. There is also a new shower block being built and they look amazing. At the entrance is a welcome visit area and we were delighted to see there was a 25m electric hook-up lead for those who forget their own or in our case had too short a cable. Now how many sites have you visited that have a spare hook-up available? Just remember if you need to borrow it to put it back for others 'like us' as it is soooo useful. There was also a selection of dvds and books available to borrow and information of what's on in the area. In addition, there is another shed for washing dishes with a washing machine and a dish washer. What more can you ask for.....if there was one thing you could do to expand the facilities it would be to add a tumble drier or a secluded drying area for clothes so that guests don't start hanging their washing out everywhere. We wish the owners...
