We had a marvellous week break at Cefn Ceiriog, the accommodation was perfect for our extended family, Grandparents, parents and 3 children. The barn conversion is "inverted", with the bedrooms on the ground floor, and the spacious living area, about 25 metres long, covering the who;e upper level. Our 4 year old grandson was fascinated by this "upside down" house.||The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need, and was spotlessly clean throughout on arrival.||Outside there is a table tennis table, used extensively, and a large play area which can be accurately described as a natural adventure playground, with a bit of help from the owners.||The farm itself is accessible, with a safe path round the animals which children love.||The owners, Richard and Mai, are very friendly without being obtrusive, and truly do everything they can, before and during the holiday, to help visitors.||The barn is located about a mile out of Glyn Ceiriog, high on the valley side, secluded and quiet, a perfect location!!!||I can truly say that this is one of the best, if not the best, self catering accommodation it has been our pleasure to stay in, and we have over 40 years experiences all over Britain.||We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing, stress free break away...

The property is very well equipped, only thing we lacked was some sort of scourer for washing up. If you are self-catering then this property is perfect.||Outside there are extensive grounds to explore with animals and areas for ball sports.||The village is approximately 1/4 mile down a steep narrow lane, so be prepared to drive on most occasions. The facilities there are a hotel (basic pub food and good drink selection, with TV / games room as well), a good village store and a post office.||||Two tips - some of the 'B' roads can be narrow and steep, so best to stick ti the 'A' roads. Second try to visit the local restoration project of the tramway, small but enthusiastic group in the village - you can gain a lot of local...
