We arrived at the campsite very late and were met by Ian (the owner)who helped us to an area in the dark. He gave us such a warm welcome we felt ourselves instantly relax. When we woke up in the morning the first thing that hit us were the breathtaking views. We quickly sorted out our motorhome and tent and a member of staff (Rob) paid us a visit to make sure we were okay and to inform us of the amenities and freedom. What a breath of fresh air to not be squashed within a tiny plot and we are welcome to have campfires and no extra charges. Brilliant! The amenities are fantastic. There are many dining areas. The main area contains a free washing machine and tumble dryer, large freezers and fridge, hot water on tap, toasters and inside sinks. The dining halls have lots of benches to eat and drink or just to socialise. The toilet areas were very clean and there were plenty. The soap dispensers were always full. The showers were also very clean and the powerful. For the part of our holiday we had a cooked breakfast which was offered from the campsite. Delicious; beautifully cooked and cereals, toast and drinks as much as you wanted for just £6.00. Eve you are a superstar! There are pigs to look at and lots of farm cats and kittens, I'm surprised that our daughter didn't try to smuggle one home. We had two campfires, with logs and kindling bought from the Reception. It was so lovely to sit and chat and toast marshmallows. Our 6 year old daughter summed up how we all felt by saying "This is the best night ever!" Near the end of our stay the weather took a turn for the worse with very high winds and a severe weather warnings. We packed up our tent early in 24 mph wind, instead of the 60mph winds forecast the next day and we were prepared to leave. We met Ian who kindly offered a bunkhouse room to stay in to complete our stay and at no extra cost. We did as we really didn't want to leave, more about the bunkhouse later. This generosity was offered to others who stayed, tents were moved into barns and staff helped to pack up and move people. This kindness and generosity is what makes this such a fantastic campsites, you feel that you are staying with family. Our bunkhouse stay was lovely. The rooms are simple, clean and warm. The beds were very comfortable and our daughter had her first sleep in a top bunk, which she thought was "absolutely brilliant!" We were so pleased to find this amazing campsite. Everyone is friendly and helpful. When you visit you truly feel that you are becoming part of their family. We have already booked for the October holiday to stay in the small bunkhouse. If you want beautiful views, coastal walks, family feel, super amenities and freedom, you will love it here, because...

We’ve just returned from a fantastic 4-night stay at Celtic Camping, and I can’t recommend this site highly enough! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional.

Before our arrival, I reached out to the team with a few questions about pitch sizes and check-out times, as the weather forecast wasn’t looking great for our departure day. Ian, the site owner got back to me and was incredibly reassuring and helpful, which immediately set a positive tone for our trip.

When we arrived, the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Everyone we met was friendly, chatty, and genuinely interested in making our stay enjoyable. On Saturday night, we were treated to live music in the barn, with food available both next door and in one of the fields—a lovely touch that added to the campsite's charm.

The on-site shop was a lifesaver, stocking all the essentials we might have forgotten, including those extra tent pegs! I was especially impressed when I met Ian while walking around the site. Despite how busy the campsite was, he remembered our earlier conversation and took the time to ask how we were finding everything, particularly the pitch size. That small, personal interaction really stood out and made us feel valued as guests.

The facilities at Celtic Camping were also top-notch. The toilets and showers were spotless, and I was pleasantly surprised by how warm and powerful the showers were—no cold water here! Plus, there was never a long wait to use them, even though the site was quite busy.

The picturesque setting of the campsite was just stunning. As we were leaving, the receptionist (apologies for not remembering your name!) suggested a beautiful coastal walk at St Justinian's, which led to an impromptu boat trip for the family—an unexpected highlight of our holiday!

The overall atmosphere at Celtic Camping was wonderful. Our fellow campers were lovely, and our youngest quickly made new friends, leaving us free to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views. We’re already planning our next visit and hope to return at the beginning of August next year, fingers crossed for the same good weather we had at the start and end of our trip!

Thank you, Ian and the entire Celtic Camping team, for making our stay so memorable. Keep up the fantastic work—it truly pays off!

Best wishes,...

Don’t be drawn in by the views which are lovely it has to said. “It can be breezy” is a dramatic understatement the wind was so strong we couldn’t even pitch our extension as the wind was ripping it out of the ground. Not having this meant we had no where to cook or sit and due to the wind, outside was not an option. We have stayed on coastal sites before and never had this issue. When choosing your pitch I would call the site to discuss as ours was next to the chemical waste disposal which smelled and the gate to the main facilities was behind which basically turned our pitch into a thoroughfare for the whole field. Neither of these were marked on the site map so you would have known to avoid the pitch. Pitches are small compared to most places we have stayed and not marked so when our neighbours arrived 10 minutes after us and positioned their car and giant tent they were basically in our sleeping compartment. I’ve had more space and less intrusion on a festival site. We didn’t bother to go to reception to see if we could move as on arrival they seemed wholly uninterested. Brief use of the toilets showed they were not clean so didn’t venture to the “dining area” Bin skips were overflowing with no attempt at all to hide them. We packed up after 4 hours. Total waste of money and a 12 hour round trip drive. **Added following owners comments. I’m more than aware no one can control the weather. The point I was trying to make is that if you are tent camping be warned it is very windy not breezy as the site states. We had read the sites comments and were prepared as we always are as we camp all over the country in all weathers. Our equipment is robust (again quoted on the site)and I wasn’t aware the owners had been round and inspected our gear to determine we were not prepared. Lastly no matter how you book, no pitch should be next to a...

Must try harder, The people who run this place have only one thing in mind, and that is to extract as much money from anyone who is unlucky enough to come here. The location of the site is great, sea views. We stayed Blue Lagoon Field, the site was littered with burnt out open fires and coal dumped into the wild grass surrounding edges. The Facilities are appalling and nothing like what is mentioned on the website. The ablutions is an old wooden hut in terrible repair next to the skips containing one toilet with black mould, 2 showers, 1 out of order and an unlocked door on the male side that can be entered into the Female showers and toilet block - not safe!. Outside of this is the sink next to the bin plus a row of old portabal loos half that had fallen over. After complaining several times we were allowed to use the washroom in the small bunkhouse which also stunk of mould. On our last night we had the pleasure of a large group of campers who decided to have an open air concert all night basically keeping everyone on the site awake until 3.30am whilst dumping their rubbish all over the camp - so much for ‘We have a dedicated CCTV system’ ‘security for peace of mind’. Also classics like - ‘We also ask that you respect your fellow campers - noise/music should be lowered to an acceptable level from 10PM your fellow campers should not have to ask you to keep the noise down.’ - completely ignored by the staff on site. there really is no need to come here. There are cheaper sites with genuine people running them, which are much better value than this dump.

A Slice of Paradise at Celtic Camping Our stay at Celtic Camping was nothing short of magical. This stunning location is not just about breathtaking scenery, it’s about the incredible people who make it truly special. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The beauty of the landscape is beyond words, rolling hills, dramatic cliffs and serene sea views are simply unforgettable. My kids and I found ourselves lost in the wonder of it all, exploring every inch of this natural paradise. We’re already missing the crisp, fresh air and those breathtaking sunsets that paint the sky in hues of gold and pink. But what truly sets Celtic Camping apart is the community spirit. The people here, both staff and fellow campers, create an atmosphere that is so friendly and supportive. We made new friends and felt a genuine connection with everyone we met. A special thank you to Ian for welcoming us every year. Your kindness and dedication make Celtic Camping feel like a second home and we’re incredibly grateful. We’re going to miss everyone including Rocky and Spirit, who added an extra touch of joy to our stay. Leaving was hard and we’re already counting down the days until we can return. This place has become a special part of our lives and we’ll cherish the memories we made here forever. Thank you Celtic Camping for an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to come back!
