Best bed and breakfast we've ever stayed in.
Located outside Taynuilt, surrounded by some fields and forests and near Loch Etive, they had some hens, pigs and a goat and a donkey to which we could give some apples to feed them with our little daughter, who was exited about it. They had a playground, as the family that lived there had three friendly children. You can also park in front of the house.
The house was new, with new facilities and everything very clean. Wide rooms, with a great shower, an a common area to relax with a cup of tea or coffee and contemplate the stunning views in a cloudy day. We were two adults and a 3 year old child, so they placed another comfortable bed for her (for 25 GPB per night), and there was still some space left at the room.
The breakfast was superb: some fresh fruit, porridge, fresh eggs (from the hens at the backyard!), local sausages, bacon, black pudding and incredible smoked salmon. Also you could have some home made yogurt, nuts, honey, jam, cereals... everything you need for a long day walking around.
They were very friendly with us (as their little daughter), helped us with our doubts about what to do around there, and booked for us a local restaurant. Unfortunately, the best restaurant nearby (Etive Restaurant) was not able to serve the dinner the day we had booked, for the chef's personal issues, but you should give it a try. I would definitely recommend it.
Thanks for everything...

Read moreBeautiful location overlooking a stunning vista of a loch and ranges. Best breakfast I had in Scotland with home made bread, jam, yogurt and the best smoked salmon I have ever had. You have your own loungeroom and dining table looking out to that stunning view. Bedrooms were well appointed and large with an en suite. It was nice to go and visit their piglets and goats outside. The hosts provide and fabulous book with a list of itineraries across the days and there is plenty to do. Location is fantastic just nearby to Oban, plenty of castles around to visit. Great drive out to Glen Coe and back. I really couldn't recommend this place more, was by far the best accommodation I stayed in on my trip...
