Craigellie Country House Bed & Breakfast - Self Catering Accommodation — Hotel in Great Britain

In April 2024 I was a guest at Craigellie for two nights. Craigellie Country House B&B is a lovely place and a perfect spot to explore the area of Blairgowrie. The house is beautiful and hidden (but not too hidden) in the countryside of Pertshire. Cities like Perth and Dundee are just 40 minutes away and Glamis, with its beautiful Glamis Castle and the Gin Bothy are at just 20 minutes distance.

Liz and Charley are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much for them to make their guests comfortable and at ease. The bedrooms are comfortable and nicely decorated and there is a large lounge with comfortables seats and sofa's for the guests to relax in.

Liz also serves evening meals and although there are some nice restaurants in the area, the meals Jill prepares for her guests are of a good standard and very recommendable.

For EV-drivers there is also a charging point, with plans to install a second one, just for the guests.

In short, a place I will definitely visit again.

The location is perfect but what really sets this beautiful property apart is the house and amenities themselves, along with the incredibly hospitable hosts. ||The Location is stunning, at the gateway to some of the most spectacular walks and scenery. |The house is extremely homely, with a warmth and beauty that makes for the perfect getaway. We stayed in the self catering accommodation for a week and it was absolutely amazing and I don’t think any where else will ever come up to it. The photos don’t do it justice. The rooms are huge beautifully furnished and very comfortable . Liz and Charlie are fantastic hosts and have literally thought of everything. It really was a home away from home. Fresh flowers on the table and muffins to greet us. The gardens are a delight and there’s a lovely walk along through the woods into the village. Craigellie House is so well situated there’s just so much to do. We visited Scone, Glamis, and Blair castle. We walked to the Hermitage near Dunkeld and on the two days it rained had really interesting visits to the V&A , HMS Discovery and the Jute works in Dundee all with easy parking right next to them.
