We stayed in the Ayr Pod for two nights in April 2022.
Such a lovely luxurious glamping pod, the owners have really spent alot of time and effort in making this place a truly amazing place.
The pod itself was much larger than I expected and had lots of nice features that added to the charm and character. Very nice decor and practical features.
The Ayr Pod we stayed in had under floor heating which ment there was no need to light the log burner as it was adjustable and kept the pod at a cozy level even after having the patio doors open.
A good basic cooking area including a large fridge, two gas burners, kettle, cutlery, pots/pans and sink. Folding wooden patio chairs and a table which there is room to put up ether inside or outside on the decking.
There is a large comfortable chair with lots of cushions, the bed is very comfortable too, you can wake up looking at the view through the patio doors and only the sound of the birds singing.
The bathroom is perfect, with a large good hot shower and towels included.
To the front of the pod there is a small but adequate decking area with an amazing wood fired hot tub. This was lit before our arrival making it ready to go when we got there after a long drive. From the decking there is a grass area leading down to a small stream that passes through the woodland.
There is also a raised fire pit with tripod for campfire cooking.
I didn't get very good phone signal or mobile data, however the owners have thought of this and there is free fast WiFi available that was very reliable.
The location is very peaceful and a perfect relaxing base for a trip to North Wales.
I would highly recommend this place, it's a real hidden gem and you can tell the owners have a passion and love for what they are doing. We will definitely return again.
A short drive away is the point of Ayr Lighthouse which is a lovely lighthouse...
Read moreThis is our first time here and it was lovely. It’s in a nice area, away from any traffic, set on well kept land. The glamping pods are hidden away in woodland. They’ve really thought about how to set the pods out, so that you feel you are in the woodland. It’s cosy and well maintained.|It’s got everything you need for a few days, minus the food/ drinks.|You get x1 bag of wood and x1 kindling included with your stay and then there is another bag of each, to which there is a QR code attached, so you can just scan and pay online if you want the extra.|Cute little bbq area.|We were in Offa and so there was a log fire in this pod. |Cutlery, bedding, shower area with towels. Kitchenette, table and chairs indoors and out.|It’s nice that they focus on the nature and not disturbing it too much. WiFi (if you’re bothered) is very good, as you don’t get any mobile reception in the woodland otherwise.|They’ve set out walks you can do and recommend some pubs close by (there are even more pubs in the vicinity).|The beaches are 10 mins drive away or the town is about 15-20 mins drive.|If you go to Talacre beach there is a free car park there, don’t be roped into paying £5 at The Point (bar/ restaurant) like we were, only to realise you can park for free.|Theres a nice pub called the Eagle and Child (great outdoor area with flowers/ garden). Although the roads to this pub are narrow.. be-careful if in a big vehicle! At one point I think we were at a 45 degree angle going uphill. Testing the hill starts…|We’d definitely come back to this place, I can see why they get consistently...
Read moreWe recently stayed at the Coppice and were very impressed with our stay from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were able to access the trolley provided on site to help us carry our luggage to the pod we were staying in. Once at our pod, we found the room to be exceptionally clean and that we had all the resources we needed for a comfortable stay such as a kettle, kitchen utensils, coffee machine, towels and even some wood which we could use to fire up our hot tub, the outside bbq or even the indoor fire. I had also let the owners know beforehand that our stay was for my partners birthday, and it was thoughtful and very much appreciated to see a card and a box of roses were waiting on the bed for him. We did a food shop prior to arrival due to it being self catering and was able to store our food within the fridge/cupboard in the room. The hot tub had already been heated for us before arrival saving us a job that day too! The location also meant that we were away from all the noise and could appreciate the glamping experience in peace. Being 5 months pregnant myself, I found myself having a very comfortable and stress free stay. I couldn't complain about any aspect of our stay and hope to return again in the future. Thank...
