Glen Dye Cabins and Cottages — Hotel in Great Britain

I organised my friend's hen-do at Glen Dye. The Coach House is beautiful and comfortable. The wood fired tubs are lovely. However, Glen Dye sorely let me down when the instructor for the activity that I had booked did not show up at the agreed on time. There was no one in the Glen Dye office to help me. It took staff about an hour to get back to me on WhatsApp, at which point I had already been running around the estate in feat that the guide was looking for us somewhere that our group was not. When staff got back to me, they were very apologetic but they did not offer any further help. They did not suggest to organise an alternative activity for us or even recommend other things to do in the area instead. The prices at Glen Dye are steep and one would expect that a certain level of customer service would come with them, but clearly not. Staff had no idea why the instructor never showed up, but they assured me they would look into this. No one ever got back to me regarding this. Our group managed to still have a good time and the missed activity was reimbursed, but I had a responsibility to organise a memorable hen-do for my dear friend and I fell short through no fault of my own. We first stayed at Glen Dye in February 2023, and had such a great time that we returned last week with 30 of our nearest and dearest to get married!

Glen Dye is a truly magical place. The cottages are finished to a very high standard, lots of big picture windows and fabulous decor, ginormous cosy beds, wood fired hot tubs (oh the hot tubs 😍), and every gastronomical gadget you could dream of on holiday (including a big green egg, and ooni oven). There are a number of great walks on your doorstep, and a new woodland sauna, and a private cinema can be booked on request (was a big hit with our wedding guests).

The entire team at Glen Dye were so amazing, helping us to have our dream wedding. All of our guests want to return in the future, and my new wife & I can’t wait to go back for wedding...

Signs by Umberto both worked and stayed at this incredible location. My family and I stayed in Number 4 Cottage which was very spacious and both a sense of luxury and country side living. Anything I could have wanted from a place, this cottage has, [record player being my favourite]. The location is a place I will never forget, the walk up to Clachnaben is magic.
