What can I say when we first arrived on site? My initial reaction was wow!||We decided to stay at the site because it was my grandkids birthday they were both six and we wanted to visit Longleat Safari Park and used this as a base, what a base!||There were three lodges on site and ours was the lodge at the top of the hill which slept a family of six quite comfortably. The grand kids thought it was amazing taking all the gear up the hill in a wheelbarrow that was the first experience that they had.||Once we got to the lodge at the top of the hill could not believe how large it was the outside Veranda comprised of a massive wooden table that you could comfortably fit eight people round a nice seating area and a very large hot tub.||Lucy was there on our arrival, she gave us a full rundown of the accommodation. She took the children over to where the lambs were located which they thought were amazing.||As we entered I was shocked to see wooden floors a beautiful kitchen and nice seating area with a coffee table 3 separate bedrooms two of which were double bedrooms and a kids bedroom which comprised of a double bed/bunkbed separate shower and bathroom. All areas of the accommodation was in immaculately clean.||There was also a welcome basket which comprised of goodies like Somerset honey big bag of crisps some amazing cheese fresh milk hand soap, shower cleanser, biscuits And a large bottle of local cider.||We spent two nights at the accommodation, use the hot tub on both nights and what an amazing experience that was looking up to a cloudless sky with thousands of stars, and what surprised me the most was how quiet it was.||If you want the experience, of camping out but not losing the luxury of being at home this is definitely the...

The tents have everything you need, are clean and have some lovely additional touches like quality toiletries and a small arrival hamper of goodies. The ‘switched off’ living means that there are solar powered lights and a USB which can be used as a charger for phones (we aren’t quite there yet with not having our phones to hand so this was fab!). The beds are super comfy and the shower is powerful with a good temperature - both things you might have wondered about on a glamping stay.
The setting is beautiful and the grounds are well kept. The log burning hot tub was enjoyable and we made good use of the bbq and pizza oven. We had a membership arranged for the Newt which is within walking distance and a fab day out.
Lucy was super helpful, picking us up from the station, giving tips and recommendations as well as seeming that nothing was too much for us to ask - absolutely excellent hosting - thank you!
Upon booking you are sent a link to a digital guide which is super helpful and even includes video links with ‘How to’ guides for essential things like lighting the hot tub.
Overall, We’d absolutely recommend this stay; for a weekend you can do without a car but for a longer period you might want one to...
