Hillhead Hideaways — Hotel in Great Britain

The pods are situated just off a single track road, the instructions you review via email before your stay are fantastic, plus once your in the main pod there is also a welcome pack with all the info you will need. You have 3 separate pods just 10 steps apart, all to yourself. One pod has a hot tub that’s checked daily and is very clean, one pod is the bbq house which has a table (outdoor furniture too) it has all the utensils you will need for your bbq, both these pods have glass roofs. The main pod is just ….. WOW! It was cold when we went but stepping into the main pod, it was so warm and cosy. The decor is amazing, you have everything you need plates, cutlery, utensils, kettle, plus a little fridge with a small freezer compartment. The place is such high spec, the amount of care and love gone into this place is unreal! It was very clean and really felt like a home away from home. (I want to live there) lol. The showers amazing, the bedroom is cute and cosy and the main living area is fantastic. The sofa was so comfy I fell asleep on it the first night after a long drive from Edinburgh. Check in is 3pm, we added late check out for 12. If you do forget anything you are a 2 mile drive away from a small town called Keith with has takeaways, bakeries (I recommend harry gow) and a Tesco, so your sorted! We will definitely be back and friends are also planning on booking some time up there this year with their partners after us raving about our visit. Vicky & Adam are amazing hosts & are extremely helpful & friendly. They have thought of everything (and I mean everything) as the pod has everything you would ever need & more.

They laid on a welcome pack of bread, bacon, eggs, butter, jam, milk, & cereal. Unfortunately we brought most of these items with us, so we know for next time not to overpack.

The pod is so warm, cozy & welcoming that we didn't want to leave. It is spotlessly clean, the shower is huge & the bed so comfy. The best night's sleep in a long while due to the tranquil surroundings.

The hot tub is housed in its own pod which was a complete bonus as it was frosty outside, but warm & toasty in the hot tub gazing up at the stars though the glass roof. Simply stunning.

While we were there the SSE network developed a rare power failure for a few hours. This was totally out of the control of Vicky & Adam but they felt so bad that Vicky arrived with a bottle of bubbles & a huge box of chocolates as an apology. Totally unexpected & certainly not required as it was an SSE network fault not theirs. We were quite happy just chilling & watching the beautiful surrounding scenery til the power came back on.

All in all it was an extremely relaxing couple of days & we can't wait to stay here again. I highly recommend a relaxing break at Hillhead Hideaways to get away from life's stresses. Thank you Vicky & Adam for making our mini-break so relaxing & enjoyable.

Just home from a fabulous trip to this beautiful Hideaway. We are a very busy, hectic family of four who were in much need of quality, family, chill time. I could not have asked for anything better. The pods are immaculate and have everything you need, every little detail has been thought of. The welcome breakfast hamper is a lovely touch and the bbq pack so thoughtfully put together. The 3 pods are just amazing and give you space for a family of four to enjoy. You have privacy and feel like you are the only people around. We loved dinner in the bbq pod, all sitting round the table. The hot tub was the perfect place to chill with spectacular views over the rolling countryside We couldn't have asked for any better. We met Vicky doing her daily hot tub checks and she welcomed us down to the farm. My six year old daughter was delighted, couldn't thank Vicky enough for taking the time out of her busy day to explain the workings of the farm and introducing us to the animals. Katie was beside herself with a cuddle from a lamb. My little budding Dr Dolittle Thank you again Vicky, was lovely to meet you and Alexander. We have all came home very relaxed and recharged and can not wait to book another trip to this beautiful hidden hideaway.
