Absolutely wonderful stay at this great location, booked through Travel Zoo.|Both myself & husband thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff from reception to dining areas.|Our room was a garden view room & was perfect for us, lovely large comfortable bed, absolute pristine bathroom & lovely large brilliant white fluffy towels & very quiet, the view was lovely even though the weather was grey & wet.|Enjoyed our complimentary glass of fizz sitting beside the open log fire.|Our evening meal was truly delicious,accompanied by a lovely bottle of wine.|Breakfast was also wonderful & lovely to see happy smiling staff.|After breakfast we walked (10mins) to their own beach Bream Cove , what a delightful walk through the gardens & down to the beach, would be fabulous on a sunny day.|All in all a great stay & excellent value & even if we had paid the full price it would have been more than worth it.|Look forward to returning.|Thanks to you all for making my birthday a day & evening...

Our garden room and the quality of food really was exceptional. The staff were lovely and really friendly, although overstretched at dinner and breakfast service. We’d definitely return and would recommend even though there were a couple of oddities ….||The only down side was that the bar didn’t open in the afternoon (opened at 6:30pm), fortunately we had our own bottles of fizz so had a nice stroll to the beach and enjoyed that there (so recommend you bring your own if your partial to a afternoon drink!).||Check in was quite odd - we were both asked to sit down in front of the desk and to sign a form. We were also TOLD time our time for dinner and breakfast (6.15pm and 8.15am). We asked to put dinner back to allow us time for a drink in bar beforehand and also breakfast to be put back as late as possible - before this was agreed the receptionist had to check with the kitchen. Fabulous hotel in gorgeous gardens. The setting is stunning, quiet and peaceful. Our garden view room with terrace looked out over the lawn and valley. We took a walk down to the beach, which was lovely. Would love to visit again when the weather is better so we could enjoy a G&T in the gardens! Very dog friendly and we will bring the pooches next time. Room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, loved the slightly 50’s vibe. Would have appreciated bubble bath, but the toiletries were excellent quality. We were a bit surprised to be ‘allocated’ a time slot for breakfast (7:30am on. Sunday!) as we’ve never encountered this before but easily resolved...
