Went for afternoon tea after receiving a red letter day voucher for Christmas. It's easy to find and plenty of parking. The grounds are stunning as is the building. Lots of character and well looked after. The afternoon tea was lovely, refilled our tea (the fruit of Eden tea is delicious by the way, as was the coffee). They don't seem to cater for allergies and told us they can't accommodate lactose intolerance which I found strange, luckily I had some lactase tablets with me in the car so it's wasn't an issue and they did serve oat milk for the tea so it was all ok. Would recommend this if you're nearby.

My wife and I stayed here for the first time, for two nights, in May, having taken advantage of an offer on dinner, bed & breakfast in an Executive Suite. It was, definitely, worth the money.||My initial concern was that, as I have mobility problems and this hotel has neither a lift nor any ground floor rooms, would I manage the 24 or so stairs to get to our room? I did, just about, and the staff were helpful with our bags. Indeed, all of the staff with whom we engaged were pleasant and helpful.||I then had a slight glitch when, as the balance of my payment was due, I spent four days trying to get someone at the hotel to answer my repeated phone calls, messages and emails. It seems that they were just too busy to respond, but I've never found a hotel before that's too busy to take a new booking or take a payment. It wasn't a major problem though.||Our room was The Oak Room which is, I'm told, the Bridal Suite. Located right over the main entrance, this is a large and lovely room with an extremely comfortable bed and pillows and views from the windows straight off a biscuit tin lid. One quirk of this hotel is that it has 29 rooms but ours is no. 31, because the room numbers are not sequential. The room was clean and fairly well appointed with amenities such as an iron and board, hairdryer, extra electric heater (unused), as well as the usual tea and coffee facilities, water etc. The bathroom is clean and similarly well equipped and pleasant and, unlike most hotel bathrooms, has a huge window looking over the grounds. ||Some guests, including a couple we spoke with, have commented that their rooms were quite shabby but, although our room might have been a little tired, it wasn't shabby.||It's the details that give a good night's sleep and, here, everything was spot on. Thick curtains block out all of the light from the grand windows, set in its own grounds, there is almost no road noise at all, the temperature is perfectly maintained throughout and, as stated earlier, the bed is very comfortable.||The main USP of this place is the beauty of the grounds; you may see similar but you won't see better. Unusually, I suspect that, unlike other hotels, just about every room in this hotel will have stunning views and, of course, our Bridal Suite had superb views. There is a large patio that wraps around two sides of the building and, on a lovely sunny evening such as we enjoyed (twice), it's a lovely place to relax with a drink.||The dining room is elegant and the sort of place where you wouldn't feel out of place if you turned up for dinner in either jeans and tee shirt or evening wear. The food purports to be high-end and, certainly, the prices are. Unfortunately, the food that we chose on our first night, while good, was not 'special'. Also, as the menu is quite limited (not a bad thing for good food), we decided to eat elsewhere on our second night. The 'dinner' part of our dinner, B&B booking actually meant that we received £25 pp off the cost of our evening meal but, of course, the total cost was more than twice that so 'dinner' doesn't mean a free meal. Without being asked, the manageress offered us a discount on our bill to acknowledge the fact that we hadn't enjoyed the benefit of the dinner discount on our second night; good management that.||Others have commented on the high price of drinks from the bar and, while I agree, it depends upon what you're used to. These aren't 'northern social club' prices but nor are they 'London prices'.||Breakfast is in the main restaurant (a lovely place to start the day) and is excellent. Curiously, we both chose the full English on both mornings and our meal on the first day was much better than on the second. One thing that we noticed was the large number of different staff, so the people you saw in the morning were different to those at night and different again to those the next day. Staff serving different shifts might explain the slight variance in service.||There is a car park to accommodate about 10 cars right by the front entrance and a separate car park to the side, so no trouble at all in parking.||For us, it's more about value than just cost and, for what we paid Inglewood Manor, it was excellent value. Had we not taken advantage of an offer, or had we stayed in a different room, it might have been less impressive but we have stayed in hotels in this are previously, at roughly the same cost, and Inglewood Manor beats them hands down. Living in Durham, we visit Cheshire Oaks now and again and we will, certainly, stay at Inglewood...

We had our magical day on 25.09.25. Mr & Mr Owen-Simmonds. I don’t even know where to start! As a same-sex couple, choosing an inclusive venue where we felt warm and welcome was so very important. However, we always knew Inglewood would be our venue! The grounds, the exterior, the interior were just us! From driving up the driveway on one of your opening days, everything just felt right! It fit! I honestly feel that Inglewood chose us! Not only is the building stunning with so much character, the grounds are simply breathtaking! ||Initially, we met with Sarah, who is absolutely incredible! She answered all our questions and listened to everything we wanted — and that’s where our journey began! We booked there and then, without viewing another venue! Sarah, we are grateful to you for first introducing us to Inglewood, and thank you for coming to congratulate us the morning after. That felt so special!||Later on, Charlie became our wedding organiser. You made us feel so at ease! You are so efficient, personal and friendly that I honestly did not feel like this was your job — I felt like I had a friend throughout the whole planning process! Always there to help with any questions at the drop of a hat, even when I’m sure you had many, many weddings to plan. We felt like we were the only wedding you were dealing with — that’s how personal you are! Even down to coming to greet us on the morning of our wedding and being there for our walk down the aisle! You should be so proud of the work you do!||Leading up to the day, the stress was real, but every member of staff we encountered throughout the day gave us so much encouragement. Congratulating us made us feel like the first wedding they had ever hosted. We felt so special!||Charlotte, our wedding DM, was so informative in guiding us throughout the day! We only met her on the morning itself, but she listened and helped with anything we needed, and was there to answer any questions. We wouldn’t have known how to navigate the day without her!||FOOD! Omg, the food was unreal! Chef, I’m sorry we don’t know your name, but the food was WOW, and you definitely deserve a massive shout-out! Everyone enjoyed your delicious meals. I really wanted to mention you because the manor hit the jackpot with you! Our 3 courses were everything! Everything came out hot, fresh, and obviously very high quality. Breakfast the next morning was unreal too! Everyone couldn’t rave about the food enough!||I feel like I’ve probably left a lot of staff out, but I am so thankful to everyone — everyone who played any kind of role, no matter how small! The bar staff, the cleaners, the waiters, reception… honestly, you have a cracking team! Everyone made us feel like VIPs! The big touches, the small touches — Inglewood is such a special place!||Your wedding package is perfection! Anyone would be lucky to celebrate their special day with you! Every detail was met and exceeded. I haven’t stopped crying since because I can’t believe how perfect everything went and how full our hearts are! Inglewood will now and forever hold a special place in both of our hearts, not only from our wedding day but from the moment we drove up the drive and saw the manor for the very first time! You just try and keep us away — afternoon teas, anniversaries, birthdays, we will be there (unless you’re busy with weddings, which I really hope you are, because you and everyone deserve to have the day we had)!||Thank you, Charlie, for our personal gift and card you left in the honeymoon suite after our ceremony! This was such a special touch! Thank you all again! I can’t say thank you enough! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! I just want to keep saying it!||Once again, we literally felt like we were the first wedding you had ever hosted. Thanks for the memories you helped create, and thank you for the memories we will cherish forever!||Finally, thank you! From Mr & Mr Owen-Simmonds — we are forever grateful so share the memory of our day with Inglewood and everyone...

When we first started looking around wedding venues we drove up to Inglewood and knew this was our venue. It was simply stunning.||From the first communication with Karen I felt like we were in safe hands. We booked 10 months in advance which in terms of weddings was not the most time in the world to plan and organise but Karen made the whole process so stress free. Nothing was too much trouble, and any request or silly questions I had were always answered promptly.||The actual day of the wedding was just incredible, its almost a week since our big day and it hasn’t fully sunk in that its happened it felt like a real life dream. During the day the whole team couldn’t do enough for us, and our little girl – even serving her wedding breakfast 2 hours before everyone else! The staff are the most friendliest, polite professional people I’ve ever seen. ||I know there’s tons of weddings here, but it felt so personal to us. Fran set up all my decorations exactly how I wanted them (and there was a lot!) Karen and I had a little tear just before I walked down the aisle, and the chef even came out to congratulate us after we had tied the knot which was lovely! ||The canapes were served promptly after our ceremony and went down a treat! We were even saved a plate for my husband and I to have to make sure we got to try them as we missed them getting our photos done. ||Then the main event was the wedding breakfast and wow! Everyone had empty plates! We didn’t go for the traditional chicken dinner, instead we chose our favourite dishes from each course which was pate, pork and lemon tart and it was one of the highlights of the day – truly sensational! ||We didn’t get the weather we wanted and that was the one thing I was slightly worried about, but the inside of the manor is just as gorgeous as the outside so we don’t think we missed out. We got stunning photos and managed to go outside when there was a dry spell and got the best of both worlds with pictures outside too. ||Because we had exclusive use of the manor it felt like a home away from home and made the whole celebration last that little bit longer by meeting everyone for breakfast the next morning. ||Almost all our guest stayed over the night of the wedding and the majority the night before too, everybody is still contacting me now saying how amazing it was. Everyone was so pleased with their rooms and breakfast the following mornings. ||There is no lift however we were able to select which floor which guests stayed in and made sure any babies/children all had family rooms.||So many of our guests have said to me since that it was the best wedding they have ever been to and that’s all down to Inglewood.||I just want to say again a massive thank you to Karen for EVERYTHING I wouldn’t have had the wedding I wanted if it wasn’t for you.||To Fran and Carol thank you so much for making the day go off without a hitch, the whole day and night went so smoothly and you were always nearby incase anyone needed anything.||If theres anyone beginning to look or have Inglewood as a contender please book it, you will not regret it! We wish we could do our day here...
