Rustic Bed & Breakfast accommodation, located on Main Street in the village of Gordon, Borders, within easy travelling distance of Kelso, Galashiels, Launder and Duns.|Jane, the owner, offers guests a very warm welcome and is pleasant and courteous yet professional and non intrusive.|She runs the adjoining village shop and is also involved with the public house next door. The bed and breakfast aspect of the business is in its infancy and is 'work in progress' but already there's much to commend.|The guest rooms are situated on the first floor and are large and well equipped.|Worthy of specific praise: the abundance of fresh towels; shared bathroom has a bath and a deluxe shower; second toilet; hot beverage making facilities; flexible breakfast time; free WiFi with strong signal; and comfortable beds. Some rooms have smart TV with Netflix.|A continental breakfast is included in the room rate. It consists of orange juice, tea/coffee, cereals, bread with preserves and excellent scones - freshly baked on the premises several days a week. Read moreYou can look forward to a warm welcome at Jane's Place. Situated in the centre of the main street, Jane offers basic but comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price. The rooms are on a landing on the first floor and share a well appointed bathroom at one end of the landing corridor. There is a second toilet at the other end. Our room was comforable and warm. TV and Wi-Fi were available in the room, as were tea/coffee with a kettle. Jane allows guests to use her kitchen for food storage and preparation. Parking is on the street but we found no difficulty in getting a slot outside the house. Check in time was 1700hrs (5pm) and checkk out 1100hrs (11am).
