I visit this hotel frequently for high tea on a Sunday - such is the quality. It really is our go to place and despite trying other places this is the one we all want to return to. The price for the high tea is exceptional for what you get - all the usual high tea fayre. The piece de resistance is the carvery though. There is always a choice of meats and the portions are generous. You can help yourself to accompaniments and sauces. There is also a quality menu to supplement the carvery and it changes often enough to remain fresh. I am always spoilt for choice here. I must also give a special mention to the cakes. There is a generous selection of home made fairy cakes, tray bakes, scones and loaves to help yourself to. My favourites are the strawberry shortcakes and the meringues. It should also be pointed out that this restaurant caters for Coeliacs and a quick mention to the maitre de and he will assist with choices which also includes the cakes and baking. My friend tells me the quality of the gluten free baking was...

First visit to this lovely hotel. Warmest of welcomes was given and both dinner and breakfast was top notch. We were lucky enough to be housed in the family suite: which offered a cosy little entrance corridor, 2nd bedroom with bunk beds (just 2 of us, so not needed) that has its own twin access; a comfortable master suite with TV, comfortable chairs, dressing table, tea and coffee facilities and an extremely comfortable bed; a dressing corridor that was accessed by both rooms; and a very cute full bathroom. The lounges and bars were decorated tastefully and the wood burner fireplaces were stunning. Being December the entire building was beautifully decorated. Our hosts were fantastic and whilst we are sad to hear they are retiring, we are glad of the opportunity to have met and chatted to them. Cannot recommend highly enough. 3 star rating seems too low for...

This hotel was a really good experience and we would love to come again anytime. Since we had a very early flight from Edinburgh airport back to Berlin in Germany, we were looking for a hotel close to the airport for one night, but did not want to stay in one of these boring airport hotels. So we came across this hotel and booked it for one night. We already loved it when we arrived, due to nice views across the bay and especially due to the super friendly staff. In the afternoon we took the train from Kirkcaldy to Edinburgh for some sightseeing, which was very convenient. The next morning we were a bit in a rush before taking the car to the airport and left something in the room. Fortunately the staff was very friendly and helpful and found the item and sent it to our place in Germany. Service and friendliness are really outstanding at this hotel - thank you so...

We really love the Kingswood. We held our wedding there last year. It’s a bit of an older building but has lots of character and charm. Holds a special place in our hearts. The manager kindly invited us for complimentary stay for our one year anniversary and it was such a special time for us. We sat on the balcony where we sipped Prosecco and watched the stars. Has a lovely atmosphere and peaceful place. Lots of do nearby explore kinghorn beach, Burntisland town, little cafes and ice cream. Lovely walks up the bin hill and buses go past every 20/30 mins or so if you want to be venture further out to Edinburgh.

The location was beautiful, and the restaurant was very comfortable and inviting. Our group of three were in for starters and desserts and coffee. The staff were welcoming and helpful, but the service was a bit slow. The new Indian menu is quite good as the poppadoms and chutneys, mixed pakora, and chicken pakora were very enjoyable and decent value for money. The haggis fritter with whisky sauce did not have much flavor, and I'd not order that again. Desserts and coffee were lovely. Next time we're in the area, we'd try the curries as that flavor profile seems to be their specialty.
