This place is lovely! Its peaceful and picturesque. The camping pod is set in the trees with ample room for a family of four (tent for two would be best); as long as your happy with relaxing together outside. You can go for a walk; sit and watch the birds or sit by the fire pit. In the pod there is a small table top fridge, sink with running cold water, a pull out table, sofa, bed, two outside tables and plenty of chairs, fire pit and small bbq.I wouldnt recommend the pod for disabled people as it has a steep slope/ steps to climb. The lodge or static are on flatter ground. This place is small and secluded. A lovely area of Cornwall. We have camped at a few places and this was definetly the best welcome recieved. Walked to the pod, shown around on the way and shown around the pod. Complementary milk, two eggs (from the resident chickens :), sachets of coffee, tea and sugar is a lovely touch and very useful when you need 5 after the journey. Even the dog was impressed with the place! There is one shower and two toilets and they are immaculate (used by pod tenants and campers only). A tumble dryer available at £1 a go and books you can borrow. If you need somewhere to properly recharge your batteries and get closer to nature, this place is well worth a visit! (Morrisons is 8 minutes away by car). The pod is smaller than we expected and could do with some more shelves (behind the headboard ;)and hooks maybe as limited storage (just a recommendation from staying, not a complaint) but all round it has made me want to live in a...
Read moreWe stayed for two nights in the cottage and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The cottage was clean, homely and we'll equipped. The beds all had clean bedding and mattresses. All towels were also supplied. We were greeted very warmly and shown around. They had even made scones andjam with clotted cream in the fridge. Everything is catered for( milk in fridge with tea and coffee in pots.) . we were told at the end of the show around that if there is anything we needed just contact the owners( next door). This we did when my young daughter asked if they had any paper so she could make a birthday banner for my wife. Not only did they produce a long piece of paper they also gave my daughter some birthday banners, pencils and colouring pens. Parking was along side the cottage so unpacking and re-packing was a doddle. The cottage allows dogs yet there is no sign or smell that dogs have stayed there. Overall what impressed us most appart from a fantastic venue was the fantastic owners.....all ways polite, attentive and helpful. I will definitely go back again and if you are not sure....just go there...you...
Read moreWe have stayed 3 times at Kinrowan while house hunting in Cornwall. The lodge accomodation was a haven for us, comfortable, warm (early spring) roomy with all the important facilities supplied. On arrival we were always greeted in a very friendly manner by the various members of the family at different times all of whom did all they could to make our stay comfortable. They even supplied a copy of the local paper with house sales.
Extra special were the fabulous cakes which were left each time, even for the short stays, plus fresh free range eggs and milk.
We have no hesitation in recommending Kinrowan and would happily stay there again, except for the fact we hope to be living there soon!...
