The house is in a nice location. But the interior is OK. Most of the underfloor heating controls hanging off the walls. Toilet seat in small bathroom broken. Handles missing on most of the bathroom cabinets which is no big deal but if your paying over a £1000 you want it looking good. Pots and pans for cooking have seen better days and absolutely filthy. We had to clean all the surfaces in the kitchen. One of the ovens was pristine condition the other was filthy again cleaned before we used it. Bed sheet see the pictures. Phoned on 1st day to complain was told they would sort it out never heard nothing back for the duration of our stay. As you can see one of the duvet looks like it's solied. The bed sheet on the same bed pictures never lie. All bed sheets stripped and washed. The drain from kitchen sink was blocked and flooding over the patio. And as for the hot tub it states there would be someone to check the water every day and the times are in welcome book never seen anyone and we did not expect anyone to turn up on Christmas day but green water on the 3rd day. The decking was slippy going to the hot tub no attempt to have it cleaned or an anti slip solution in place. The pond looks really nice apart from the rotten pumpkins on the side of the pond. Broken floor tiles all over the property. It could be a really nice place but sadly never judge a book by its cover. VERY DISAPPOINTED would not recommend. We did get a text message on day 2 of our holiday. Asking if everything was ok this was Xmas eve. We paid just under £1400 for this break. Everything should of been fixed and clean plus tidy before we entered the property.

We stayed at the Ladera House as a group of 9 in Feb 23. Upon arrival we were impressed with the quiet location. The house was very spacious and had a lot of potential. The property sleeps 10, there were only 8 seats available at the dining table. The furniture in the lounge/dining area didn't match and was too small for the large area. Very large kitchen with ample space to cook, however a property that serves for 10 people had a 2 slice toaster and only 1 kettle which needed to be boiled twice for everyone to have a hot drink together. The plates/dishes were all odd and no matching sets. The dishwasher was not in good working condition and most items had to be re hand washed as they were still filthy. The hot tub was not checked for the duration of our stay, we didn't see any staff apart from on the day of arrival. There is 1 toilet, 1 shower and 2 en suite bathrooms with toilet and bath. For a property of such a size, additional toilets and showers would be recommended. The whole place was filthy with cobwebs, dust, stains on carpets, and had not been swept for quite some time as there were sweets, toys and rubbish under the sofa and dining table. We swept the floor twice on our 1st day to get rid of what appeared ro he months worth of dust and rubbish. The property was left cleaner after our 3 night stay than it had been in months. Quick to take our money but still not received the large deposit refund and keep getting excuse after excuse for the delay. Would NOT stay here again and would not recommend. The location is the best part of this property.

The log cabins are situated on a scenic maintained park and was within good distance from Alton towers , thors cave , Chester zoo and water world The signal is very poor , great if your after a get away not so good if you rely on maps to explore and find those 5* pubs and sights too see away from home As mentioned the site is lovely but would befit from some woodland walks utilizing the local area like other similar holiday parks There is also a 2m restriction on entering the site it was just by chance we did not put on the roof box, not sure it can be opened for guests I would check if you are booking the £250 security deposit that had to be transferred not held was concerning but has been returned 2 days after leaving , we have not experienced this before and have stayed in 5 locations similar over the last 3 years , there was also no one available to go through the existing damage with us, so we took photos to cover our backs Sadly will not be putting ladrea lodges on our revisit list

I’m pretty dissatisfied and upset writing this review. We checked in late yesterday for a well deserved break with the family - a getaway that we’ve been looking forward too since booking. First impressions were great and this is a beautiful house if the up keep is maintained which it really isn’t. We’ve experienced multiple issues with unclean household linen resulting in having to put on multiple loads with a dryer that stops in between cycles - when getting ready for bed I found hairs belonging to the previous guests most likely and I don’t believe the lodge was thoroughly cleaned in between guests. Smoke alarms are dangling from the ceiling making me question if they actually work and worried for the safety of my family, the floor tiles have holes in them causing a trip hazard, there are cobwebs in each corner of the property as if it’s not been dusted for a while, a fridge that doesn’t cool down properly resulting in having to use the wine fridge to keep things cool. The back garden view is gorgeous some places however the hot tub is located in a dingy part of the garden surrounded by bushes and trees that haven’t been maintained so leaves and twigs as well as bugs are constantly falling into the tub but the host has mentioned in their welcome back that they’ll charge £35 to clean this. As well as this the garden swing is filthy and layered with bugs meaning that we can really make use of this. The carpet is filthy and is due a clean or needs replacing - I’m cautious to walk on this barefoot and need to clean my feet before getting into a bed. Chair cushions are disgusting and dirty with marks everywhere meaning that we can’t really make use of the dining table. This is just a little insight into the issues we’ve faced - we have been here for one night discussing the possibility of staying in a nearby hotel for the duration of our stay as our family have been unable to sleep in such an environment. We have contacted the person whose details we have been given by hoseasons a last named ‘sissy’ who initially on check in was helpful but as soon as we contacted her this morning about some of the issues we’ve experienced wasn’t very forthcoming at all and pretty unprofessional to say the least. Instead of being supportive and helpful in trying to help resolve our issues she has been dismissive about everything. We have paid a lot of money for this getaway but it’s really been a waste of money. Please do not waste your time or your money on booking this place - it does cater for a lot of people and looks gorgeous which can be pretty impressive when looking to host for so many people however there are just pictures but the reality is different. I am looking forward to go home and will try and spend my days until Monday away from the property as much...

I booked for Ladera retreat lodges through Hoseasons for a family of 4 with two little children. The lodge was deemed to be a luxury lodge with a hot tub. Check in was 4pm and check out very early at 9am. On arriving I received a text message asking for me to bank transfer over £150 before I could get access into the lodge. This was not the easiest as my signal was not the best and I had no WiFi in that location. On getting the keys we then struggled getting into the lodge as the door was broken. It was extremely difficult to open or close. The team was aware of this and were waiting for a new part. In the lodge it was nice, in need of some TLC. Blinds either broken or missing. Cardboard covering a hole in the ceiling that was leaking. The beds had no mattress protector on just a flat sheet. The oven was unusual took a long time to cook food. ||Anyway we made the most of our time. We ate out and were out nearly all day for the 4 days we were there. ||One thing we did use was the hot tub. My boys loved it and were in it every morning and night. Unfortunately on the day we left my 6 year old started with a rash on his back. The following day he then woke up with a widespread rash affecting his whole body. We had to seek urgent medical review and were told he had bacterial folliculitis caused by the hot tub which is commonly caused by pseudomonas from contaminated hot tubs. He was therefore started on antibiotics, piriton, steroid and anti fungal cream and needed regular calpol for the pain. Over the next 12 hours we all developed the same pus filled spots. Though not to the same extent as my 6 year old. ||On contacting Hoseasons and providing evidence via photos etc I was told it was nothing to do with them they are just a third party provider. I have booked with hoseasons for years. You think booking through a well known company you would be protected but no. I have since complained and they and the owner of the lodges are supposed to be doing a review. I am honestly disgusted. This has led to us missing time off work and school and ruined our holiday. We were due to go on another holiday with hoseasons in October and I do not know whether to cancel. They showed no regard and did not even ask after my son. So no I would not recommend. Stay clear...
