We didn't stay at the B&B but instead went for a working sheepdog demonstration with Iain. It was in the top three experiences during our entire vacation. Iain was absolutely delightful and gave a lengthy presentation with a young sheepdog and a working sheepdog. It was amazing to watch the dogs move a group of sheep in between obstacles. After the demonstration, we were able to meet the dogs and the sheep and take all the pictures we wanted. He also let us wander a bit and see goats, baby lambs, Highland cows, and other animals. I highly recommend setting up a demonstration!!

Serene, comfortable BnB a short drive from Culloden and Inverness. Host was welcoming, breakfast was delicious, setting was peaceful and idilic. Take time for the sheep hearding demonstration, Iian is a lovely chap. Be sure to catch a glimpse from the back yard view in the evening golden hour to see the setting sun hit the eastern side of the valley as the sheep graze quietly.

We came to Leanach Farm to see a couple of working border collies in action and we were not disappointed! Ian has a lot of humour and love; towards us tourists and his dogs! We also got to meet some other animals at the farm, for example the pigmy goats. So cute! The wee Oliver, who was helping out, was such a sweet guy! Highly recommend to visit!

We stayed in the Farm Cottage for three nights to enjoy some much needed downtime during our two week UK road trip, which included our two children, 20 months old and 12 years old. Our stay at Leanach was the highlight of our vacation! Roseanne and Iain are wonderful, warm hosts. Iain welcomed our children to explore the farm and interact with the animals, which included adorable pygmy goats, horses, and sheep. We also booked the sheepdog demonstration which we cannot recommend enough!|The cottage itself suited our family’s needs perfectly, with one of the best (and hottest!) showers we experienced on our trip, a cozy living room and bedrooms. A bonus was getting to watch Iain get the dogs going every morning from our kitchen window. |The setting was magnificent, well situated to visit Culloden Battlefield and Clava Cairns, with an unassuming but surprisingly good pub a short walk down the road.|If you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful setting with a warm and friendly atmosphere, we highly recommend Leanach...

How refreshing is Leanach Farm, with top-level comfort and cleanliness, and spectacular scenery. We had a two twin-bed room that was spotless, comfortably warm, and convenient, having everything that you would expect in an urban hotel, but in a healthier setting. A Scottish breakfast that would be 25 pounds in a hotel (salmon, kipper, various breads and drinks), is had in a bright, windowed room overlooking farmsides and hillsides. Easy and uncomplicated check-in, check-out. Parking is plentiful right outside of the rooms. Service is genuine by people who care about this B&B and about you. Totally quiet at night, birdsong at dawn. Sheep, cattle, horses and goats are all pleasantly in view. The grounds are well-kept, neat, and lush. We came here after two restless nights in Edinburgh and found this to be our welcoming oasis. We would have loved to stay even longer and we...

Room: Super cozy!! Very comfortable, and well kept. Slightly on the smaller end but I cannot complain. My suitcase and all my stuff fit very well. Bathroom was great as well! Shower was hot and worked very well along with all facilities.

Service: breakfast was made fresh and so tasty! The hostess was super friendly, and quite pleasant. She’s been in the industry for many years and her level of professionalism, kindness, and care really shows it.

Location: Although a bit far out of town if you’re looking to explore Inverness, the farm location provides the COOLEST experience. The farm owner was super kind as we walked around the farm. It was great to wake up and see sheep lying down and resting just outside, or watch the horse and cows graze in the distance.

Highly recommend this location to anyone wanting to visit near Inverness, or are stopping off for the night on...
