A Groovy Glamp site.
First, let’s start with some tips!
Bring ear plugs and cash.
You’ll need the former if staying in the tents as the trees don’t provide that much cover for the noise emanating from the distant traffic which carries a lot in the countryside. I think the shepherd’s huts are spared this.
Unless you bring your own firelighters etc. or crave a midnight Icecream it is handy to have change handy even in this contactless world.
Don’t underestimate the amount of wood needed to turn the inside of the pizza oven white (see pictures).
So that aside, what can you expect?
Comfortable tents, cosy environs with those small touches like scented sticks in the bathroom and flowers in the tents. Star spangled nights far from light pollution, conversions away from WiFi, etc.
You can assuage the guilt from the CO2 emissions of your fires by realising that it is a fraction of that spent flying to Bali or...
Read moreI can't believe that "the Hut" had only a few reviews. It's an amazing place, we love going it's not far from.us but we feel like we are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of work and day to day hassle. It is a definate getaway with all mod cons if your not a real camping kind of person. All equipment /facilities are of very high standard and to be honest for a short break we wanted for nothing. There are.books dvd's and cards etc and a DAB radio...a pleasure on an evening sat outside. We have been in spring time and sat outside for hours by the pond just watching the wildlife and in the autumn we still managed to cook outside and enjoyed the log burner inside the Hut which I made it really cosy. Now need to book to try out the new hot tub! Loads of thought has gone into this place and nothing is too much trouble the owners are very accommodating. You will miss a fabulous experience by not...
Read moreThis is a fantastic little glamping site, with 4 comfortable cosy bell tents, individual lockable shower rooms/toilets for each tent and a shared kitchen. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, pans, crockery and cutlery, kitchen sink and a large table to eat at. Washing up liquid, cloths and tea towels are provided. You can hire a fire pit, and there's a wood fired pizza oven you can use too. The owners live nearby and are helpful if you need anything. The tents sleep 4, but an extra camp bed can be added (although not as comfy as the other beds!). There are string lights around the site making it pretty at night, and you also get fairy lights in your tent. Parking is off to the side of the camping field, and there are wheelbarrows provided to help take your things over...
