We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this stunning campsite nestled right in the heart of Snowdonia, on the edge of a beautiful estuary. The location is truly breathtaking, with ever-changing views depending on the tide, and the peaceful surroundings made for the perfect relaxing getaway.

This site is a dream for outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you’re into cycling, paddle boarding, or walking, the area offers endless opportunities to get outside and explore. We spent our days exploring places nearby (Portmeirion is directly across the estuary and you can see it clearly from the site), enjoying the natural beauty and returning to camp for quiet evenings by the water.

We stayed in Bella (the bell tent) and were a bit nervous that it might be too hot, as the weather was scorching the weekend we were there, but it cooled down in the evening and we both slept perfectly. The tent and pitch were spacious and safe, with plenty of chairs and tables provided, which made meals and downtime incredibly comfortable. The bed was surprisingly comfy—a real bonus when camping! The tent contains everything you’ll need for your stay - fan, heater, fridge, shoe store, cupboard, trunk, plenty of electrical sockets, sisal rugs on the floor etc.

The toilet block was spotless, clearly well maintained, and the tiny on-site shop was impressively well stocked with essentials—a real lifesaver for the little things you forget.

What really made our stay exceptional was the warm and thoughtful hospitality of the owners, Heidi and Dave. Every detail felt carefully considered to ensure guests have everything they need for a stress-free and enjoyable stay. It’s clear they take great pride in the site, and it makes all the difference.

Overall, this campsite is a perfect balance of comfort, nature, and adventure. We’ll absolutely be back—and be recommending it to...

We have visited Llech 3 times now (my 2nd attempt at adding a review!) involving a journey of 6 hours - and it is SO worth the effort! The minute you land on your pitch and step outside, it feels like coming home - only better, because you are surrounded by the most glorious scenery and such a sense of peace and quiet. This is a small site and the pitches are huge - no crowding loads of units and people in here! Each pitch is also thoughtfully provided with a picnic table and bench set, and fire baskets can be hired. The facilities look minimal but are totally adequate for a site this size - and always immaculately clean and stocked with everything needed. Recycling is necessary up here (good!) and bags (including food waste) are provided to help with this. The dog shower is such a good idea (and often needed after a run on the beach at low tide) - even doggy shampoo is at hand! There is also a small shop selling essentials. You can walk or cycle miles from the site, and catch a bus or flag down a train a short walk away. Llech is a little piece of heaven, even when the weather is not the best! Heidi and Dave unobtrusively run a remarkable place, and are always willing to stop and help out or give advice - they seem to have thought of everything! Thank you - diolch! Lizzie, Andrew and...

This was our first trip out in a new-to-us Motorhome and obviously we were quite anxious. We are not young either!) 'Dave and Heidi' absolutely couldn't do more for us. Relaxed, friendly site, Toilets and showers were spotless, all the time. Under cover kitchen dish wash area and a small fridge and freezer to use. Grey/black water sluice. Farm land all round and the estuary is 20 feet from the front gate! Rocky and sandy, the dogs loved it. When the Atlantic has a high tide, it crosses the road across the marsh for an hour. Sheep roaming the estuary banks and Portmeirion visible across the river made it simply glorious. Sheep gate across the road occasionally when the Sheep are random grazing (that you open yourself) gives you some idea of the rural, relaxed area that it is. Take your own food, you're a good way from civilised shopping if you're walking, but there is eggs, butter, bread and milk in the Farmhouse. Portmeirion is 6 miles / 20 minutes away, free parking in there, dedicated one way road in and out, massive dedicated Motorhome parking shaded areas, at the side of the Woods means no awkward bottlenecking or reversing. Porthmadog is beautiful with Tesco, Lidl and Aldi, all Motorhome sized car parks, and just 7 miles, 23 minutes from the camp site. What else can I say?...

Just returned from a 2 night stay and what a great stay it was. Communication from Heidi and Dave was great, spoke to Dave on settling the bill on the first night he was really knowledgeable of the area and provided all the information we needed for our stay. The site itself all though small (perfect for us and 2 dogs) has everything you need. Pitches - Huge, lots of space for a campervan or tent, including a bench and also we were able to use leveling ramps which The owners left for us on our arrival. It was too windy for the fit pit but was available for a small fee. Amenities - toilets and showers where always clean and never had to wait to use either. Outdoor shower was tempting but maybe next time!! Location - stunning views of the estuary over to Portmerion, not far from the Wales Costal Path (walk to Harlech was about 2-2.5hrs but get the train back) local pub Ship Aground provided lovely food and drink on one the the nights we stayed, worth a visit if your staying here. Overall it was a great stay and we will definitely be returning next year when the weather allows us to paddle board on the estuary!

We went to LLECH camping for a 6 night stay. It is a small, family run campsite with approximately 15 spaces. Owners are extremly helpful with plenty of advice from tide times to local shops, trips and hiking routes. The facilities were very clean, having camped for 7 years now I was extremly impressed. There are 3 showers, 4 toilets, external shower and a hose for dogs which was most helpful after rainy walks or dips in the estuary. The fire pit and fire wood is delivered to your pitch so no need for carrying. There is a little on site shop run by owners in the afternoon. The tidal times are displayed and updated regurally. On the high tide paddling is possible in the morning and in the evening. The views are stunning. There is plenty of things to do locally and within short rides. Sunrises and sunsets are just to die for. We had amazing stay and met some amazing people. Highly recommend if you travel with kids and are looking for campsites which are not overcrowded with laud people and parties.
