It was our first time staying in a holiday pod and from start to finish it was amazing! We stayed for a week in the Fern pod. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with fresh milk, flowers & eggs, prosecco and even some treats for our chihuahua who we brought along for the holiday which he obviously loved. The pod itself was really cosy and super clean! It was great having all mod cons such as a microwave and hob, fridge freezer, which helped the self catering aspect of the holiday. We ordered a Tesco delivery to arrive at the pod and it came promptly and with no issue. The views from the pod were incredible and the peacefulness of the surrounding countryside was breathtaking - with the exception of course of the sounds of wildlife. The dark nights with no light pollution allowed us to also do a bitof stargazing with our telescope that we brought with us which was a real treat! The hot tub was huge and again was super clean and easy to use. The complimentary dressing gowns were great for getting out of the hot tub and chilling on the decking in. It made it feel as though you were in your own private spa. The fire pit and barbecue were also great additions with a private space at the side of the pod to enjoy these. We had toasted marshmallows on the fire pit and a good few barbeques throughout our stay. The welcome pack that was in the pod had loads of useful info in it (much more than you get in most other places) and some great local walks which we did. We took one walk down the Radnorshire arms which is a lovely country pub with excellent home cooked food. Definitely recommend a visit! Another positive about the pod is that you are left to your own devices with no interuption from the owners - unless of course you wanted their advice / help on anything. We happened to meet Lin and also Llew on one of our walks and they were really welcoming and friendly offering advice for things to do and where to eat / walk. In summary this place was a real diamond find and we absolutely loved our stay. We were really lucky with the hot sunny weather but regardless of weather the place itself is beautiful. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you Lin and family for making our holiday special!

Pods are isolated and set back, so if you are looking for quiet, these are worth the trip and definitely a nice alternative to the farmhouse. Views are stunning , amazing sunrise over the hills , only noise is from the sheep, lambs, and birds. Only real negative - 2 pods in close proximity, so if you get nosey neighbours like we did, you are watched constantly. However, they are ideal for a base to explore the area. Pods are clean with basics: If you're looking for luxury, this is not for you. They come with a very basic 2 slice toaster, kettle, very small microwave, fridge, and freezer. Small bathroom, but don't expect a hot shower. It was intermitently warm and cold, no matter what temp it was on . This is probably due to its location, though. The bathroom mirror didn't light up either, but these were the only faults. Regulating the temp in the pod isn't easy as there is only a small electric heater or a log burner , a basket of logs was included with the option to purchase more if needed. They do have a small hot tub , which is a nice touch. There is also a BBQ and fire pit outside. Furniture is a little dated and worn as is the decor and soft furnishings, but when you consider this is on a working farm and not owned by a big commercial property, it somewhat adds to the charm. WiFi is available but weak , again expected for where you are located. The views alone are worth the trek down the faming lanes and up the dirt track to the property. We enjoyed our stay and exploring Wales and would stay again. Hefren Forest and Elan Valley are both an hours ish drive away but are worth the trip as they offer the most spectacular views.

Great place to stay, clean, bright well equipped and ideal for walking off the doorstep or driving to a number of attractions close by. The barn is lovely the kitchen had everything you need to cook if that's what you want to do, there's even a washing machine. The view is lush and when the mist sits in the valley it's positively magical, and all of this from the HOT TUB!! Dog friendly and I have to say dog practical too with hard floors that are easy to clean if those paws get muddy. Cozy and warm from the underfloor heating and a nice big wall mounted TV. We had a fab week here in Nov, will return in the Spring I hope!

We have just arrived home from a lovely stay in “heather”. An absolutely gorgeous little pod with stunning views. We had the perfect little getaway and reset after Christmas. The pod itself was absolutely spotless, and had everything you needed (and little extras - dog treats, fresh eggs, and a Christmas hamper! The cheese and crackers we loved!) Lovely hot water in the shower, and fresh towels and robes! The hot tub was clean and always hot and ready to use straight away. Everything we needed to have some home cooked meals too. We were so lucky to be able to come a night early with no extra charge, meaning we had a whole extra day to explore nearby, thank you so much. Finding the place in the dark at 10pm was interesting but we got there after finding the 2mile ahead sign! The weather was grizzly but it didn’t stop us, we had some lovely walks right on the door step, and the views were stunning. We went to the local red kite feeding centre which was such an experience, and we ate at two restaurants in Knighton -The horse and jockey inn, and The Banc, both which I highly recommend! I couldn’t recommend maesgwyn holiday lets enough to anyone looking for a countryside getaway! Thank you so much...
