I was in the area on a work trip and stayed at New Farm B&B for 7 nights, returning back home today. The room was spot on, clean and with everything I needed. The bed was super comfortable, the best I’ve slept in at any B&B or hotel. The site generally is very quiet, and as I was midweek for a fair few of the nights I was the only guest, so this was ideal for evenings sat doing work without interruptions. The breakfast was delicious, over my week I had various versions of fry ups, each were lovely. It’s a simple system of preordering on paper the night before and choosing your sit down time, when you sit down in the morning, breakfast is pretty much ready to go, and if you’re staying for longer than a night or two Mark learns your coffee/tea preferences, so by the end of my stay I was walking into my “usual” table with a cafetière of coffee waiting for me. This is the ideal place to stay if you’re looking for a bit of peace and quiet, only a short drive away from neighbouring towns but it really feels like you’re a world away from them! On this it’s important to note the site is on a very quiet country road amongst farmland, so any shops or restaurants are beyond a walking distance for an evening meal or a stock up when you’re on a business trip - the closest I found was a 40 minute walk which I probably would have done it if I’d been more prepared, but ultimately for 7 nights I just did a tour of pubs within a 5 mile radius! Not a negative, it comes with the nature of a B&B, but just a point to note when looking for a business trip. All in all, I would highly recommend this site. Mark was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Hopefully I’ll be returning soon but for leisure instead!! Thank you so much :)

We have just had the most lovely weekend staying at new farm in one of the glamping pods! From the moment we arrived we was greeted by our host mark who was very welcoming , the pod itself was lovely and was set out with balloons and decorations for my partners 30th birthday for when we arrived. The whole weekend was very relaxing and we enjoyed the bbq and hot tub which looked out at the lake , we had a clear view of the stars and the sun set was amazing! The weather was lovely so we had a lovely run/walk to the nearby pub for some food and drinks and any time we needed something mark was right with us , we will definitely be returning again!

A warm welcome from Mark, very friendly and helpful. The room was warm and inviting after a long journey, with a well stocked tea tray. The beds were comfy and aided a good night's sleep. The en suite bathroom was well appointed and the shower easy to operate and regulate the temperature, plus roomy enough. Everything was spotlessly clean. The cooked breakfast was lovely with a nice choice of items, although the cold selection was lacking. All in all I thoroughly recommend a stay at New Farm and won't hesitate to come back again.

Never thought I would be writing this review about this site as thought we had found an amazing site. We were booked in for my boyfriend's birthday weekend and only ended up staying one night after been asked to leave immediately. The owner accused me of letting my dog fowl while my boyfriend was fishing and not pick it up. A few points here my dog is 13 and had bowel issues for few years so very rare she goes the toilet . The owner would not show me the actual evidence of my dog fouling and me leaving it just a picture of me standing by the dog mess. Perhaps learn how to speak to people with a bit of curtesy and try ans rectify the situation. We have visited over 100 campsites all over the country and on the occasion that my dog has made a mess in the wrong area I have gone back to the van and got water to swill the area away and i even pick mess up if i see it if its not my dogs as i find it horrible. If it was that when my dog has had a wee and she has had a slight accident and I have missed it OMG I would be totally mortified and apologised and cleared the mess up straight away and held my hands up. We did ask to see the actual evidence but was refused. I do understand the owners frustration but there are ways of dealing with situations. Luckily we did manage to find another campsite to carry on the birthday celebrations. Rules were broken and if it was a genuine accident I am heartfully sorry but I can hand on heart say I wasn't deliberately at fault. On the other hand other rules were left to be broken and nothing done about it such as a young child running about the toilet area sceaming when it's suppose to be adult only and a dog on an opposite pitch constantly barking. The whole incident has caused great upset and its beginning to feel a personal attack. Perhaps if in future deal with all rule breakers the same way. Maybe you telling other campers that your site was struggling could be due to how you have treated people.

  • owner replied to trip advisor saying my boyfriend blamed me for the dog mess and said I was at fault which is a total lie. You defo need to learn people skills and accept the odd complaint. Also failed to address the two points I made about children and barking dogs . Your site is lovely its just a shame you don't punish all rule breakers and fly off the handle throwing people off your site without showing actual video evidance not...

I recently had the misfortune of staying at New Farm Cheshire Holidays, and I must say, it was an utterly disappointing experience. The so-called “luxury” glamping pods were anything but luxurious. The pod was cramped, with barely enough space to move around, and the furnishings looked like they were picked up from a bargain basement sale. The much-touted hot tub was nothing more than a lukewarm, glorified bathtub that seemed to have a mind of its own, randomly switching temperatures.

The location is described as peaceful and idyllic, but in reality, it’s in the middle of nowhere with absolutely nothing to do. The “panoramic views” were just endless stretches of dull, uninspiring fields. The on-site fishing lakes, which are supposedly a highlight, were more like oversized puddles with barely any fish in them.

The breakfast served was a joke. The portions were tiny, and the food was bland and tasteless. It felt like they were doing us a favor by serving us at all.

To top it all off, the staff were indifferent and unhelpful. Any request or query was met with a sigh and an eye roll, making it clear that guests are more of an inconvenience than anything else.

Overall, New Farm Cheshire Holidays is an overrated, overpriced establishment that fails to deliver on its promises. Save your money and...
