What a magical and peaceful place this is. We had a really great stay here. The house is nearly 300 years old, and is in a very secluded beautiful spot, by a small river and thick wild wooded area. Gundula and Sabine are really friendly hosts and very thoughtful. They were really friendly with our young (2 year old) daughter and had some things for her to read and made some kid friendly food for breakfast and helped a lot with making sure we had everything we needed and settled in. The breakfast was really great quality, and a big amount of it too. There was too much to choose between and we were really happy with it all. Great selection of teas and good coffee too. There is no TV or wi-fi and whilst peaceful, we didn't have a view from our room as it was in the attic and only skylights.|A quirky approach to...
Read moreA beautiful oasis of calm, peace and purity. We stayed in the Mackintosh room - which was delightful. The fine details made this place a cut above; a sensational bed, a wonderful bathroom - and a breakfast that was made with the most organic ingredients - prepared with genuine affection. My partner had an upset stomach from a nearby restaurant - and Gundi went above and beyond to ensure that we had some lovey herbal remedies, which really helped. The location allowed us to reconnect with nature, away from any kind of urban noise whatsoever. Treat yourself to a stay there and embrace the ethos. I'm not a vegetarian - and I normally go for sometimes faceless 5-star hotels. I rolled the dice on this place and I'm so glad I did. It's real, it's personal, it's passionate and I wish them all the success...
