Love it! Been a few times now with both sides of the family and it’s a smashing big farmhouse. If I won the lottery I’d offer to buy it, honestly!
It has a big living room with two smaller sitting/tv areas at and past the stairs further along into the house, one of which we brought and hooked up a PlayStation to for the rainy days.
The kitchen is definitely ground zero though. Spacious and comfortable. It has a big tv on the wall. It has a small fridge for the day to day basics under the counter. In a little room (I call the snack room) to the side it has another full size fridge, lots of glasses, recycling buckets and basically space for the crisps and snacks you’re definitely going to consume during your stay. Some might call it the cocktail room. You get the drift. There is also a 3rd fridge in the porch at the side entrance so tons of room for all the alcohol that needs chilled too.
There is a big games room with table-football, pool table, table tennis table and a couple couches with a decent hi-fi system for the music lovers. There is a cable provided to plug your phones in which sounds better than just the Bluetooth option. There is also a little box of toys for the younger kids: cars, chalk board, miscellaneous toys.
Hot tub. A lovely private hot tub outside most easily accessible through the living room. Room for 4 at most I’d say unless you’re all very, very friendly. For entertainment purposes, if you Baa like a sheep they’ll Baa back at you from the barn next door. Let me know if you think one of the sheep sounds like a human doing an impression of a sheep ;-)
The house in general is very clean. Plenty of parking space. Entirely self-catered so arrive prepared as the nearest major supermarket is a reasonable distance away although there is a cupboard full of towels for hot tub use, hand towels etc. provided in the porch.
There is wi-fi provided.
Quite simply, you won’t be disappointed by your decision to stay here for a few days.
We do look forward to returning again...
Read more11 lovely ladies for a friends hen weekend. Lovely rural setting - difficult to find with sat nav and postcode but easy when using Pants Farm. House is well equipped- ample dishes / cookware. We did a Tesco delivery for the weekend to save going shopping. Plenty fridge/freezer space One friend did comment a wine bucket would be good to save her going back and forward for a refill but she was on crutches so will let her off!!! Games room appears new and kept some of us amused - but there was board games etc of you wanted. An addition would be garden games eg giant jenga. Hot tub was a bit of a palava and the covers heavy and got absolutely s adding hot so soon learnt to fill with half cold and half hot (think of it as a hot bath- there are no jets but still great) an addition would be a wee net for beastie removal. I would certainly recommend Pants Farm fir large...
Read moreWe’ve just returned from a fabulous family vacation at Pant Farmhouse. There were 9 of us in total ranging from granny’s to teenagers and the farmhouse catered for everyone. The games room was a brilliant distraction from devices and there was so much space you never felt on top of one another. Friendly sheep and cows in the fields behind with visiting hares and the occasional deer really made it feel like we were away from the hustle and bustle. Tony who looks after the farmhouse was brilliant and really helpful, not only with the farmhouse but also with local knowledge. We stayed for a week, but wished it had been longer. A fabulous find and one we will definitely return to. Also If you’re looking for a nice local meal, I would recommend Enterkine Country House 10mins from Pant Farmhouse, we had a wonderful...
