Pheasants Retreat — Hotel in Great Britain

I'd booked this as a gift for my partner and it was the absolute perfect getaway. We were here in January and it was just wonderful for a winter break. Di & Pete are both really lovely hosts. Pete showed us round on arrival and made us feel at home straight away. The owners live onsite so they really are just round the corner if needed, but the accommodation itself is very private and secluded.

The views from the house are gorgeous - we loved seeing the sheep in the garden behind! The house is super cosy, from the blankets and fireplace indoors, to warming up in the hot tub after a hike. The kitchen was so idyllic and had everything to hand, we actually ended up cooking ourselves 3 nights out of 4. Di & Pete made some really great recommendations on local eateries and we booked two of them during our stay, so I'd definitely recommend checking out some of the local places they suggest.

The owners had an unfortunate issue whereby the boiler had some trouble on our first day, but this was fixed very quickly when we were out hiking the next day and Di even brought us round portable heaters in the interim! Di also let us know the internet was having a bit of a patchy moment, which we hadn't even realised was happening, and they then made the incredible offer to let us stay an additional night, which we absolutely said yes to!

A wonderfully clean and beautifully decorated cottage in a serene and peaceful location. The decor in this cottage is very classy and has been very thoughtfully and cleverly put together. It is a great base to allow you to discover North Wales and there is definitely plenty to do in this part of the world - Conwy and Caernarfon Castle are a must. It has a lovely private hot tub which was great to relax in at the end of each day. The cottage has absolutely everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Every little eventuality has been thoughtfully planned for by the host and we just found it an easy place to stay. Pete (the host) met us on arrival and explained how everything worked and there were plenty of helpful written guides around the property to help explain how everything worked. Amazing place Perfect cottage for a restful and peaceful getaway . The hosts are so welcoming and helpful , from Di’s pre arrival advice on places to eat and drink to Pete’s guided tour . Even the pet sheep came to say hello. The house is simply stunning ,lots holiday let’s are devoid of personal touches but they are everywhere , from the cook books to the fab section of the latest magazines . The house was immaculately clean and warm and cosy. The hot tub was perfect and the best place to sit and star gaze in the evening .
