I stayed one night at Premier Inn Falkirk North and found the experience to be fairly average. The hotel is easy to find and offers free parking, which is convenient for drivers. Check-in was straightforward, and the staff were polite, though not especially welcoming or engaging.
The room was clean but quite basic and a little tired. Some fixtures seemed worn, and there was a slight musty smell. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but the pillows were thin and didn’t provide great support. The temperature in the room was difficult to regulate, and it felt either too warm or too cold at times.
The bathroom was small but clean, with all essentials provided. However, the water pressure in the shower was weak and inconsistent. Noise levels were generally low, which helped with sleep.
I didn’t try the restaurant, so I can’t comment on food quality. There are limited dining options nearby, especially in the evening, so that’s something to be aware of if arriving late.
Overall, it’s a functional hotel for a short stopover, but there’s nothing special that would make me choose it again unless absolutely necessary. It’s okay for one night but not...
Read moreUpon arrival was met by a friendly receptionist but she was in conversation with a young man who was eating a McDonald's whilst standing at the reception desk. I went to my room on the first floor the room was smelly, dirty carpets, ceiling tile missing exposing pipework and the cover from the xplair in the bathroom was lying in the washbasin, I opened the window to get some fresh air into the room and discovered that the net curtain at the window didn't cover all of the window. The window was covered in bird droppings and there was a large pile of droppings on the window sill. I reported the smell, missing tile and cover to the reception and she said she would correct it. The ceiling tile was replaced and the cover put back on and they sprayed the room with air freshener which I was surprised at I thought they would have moved me but no so I had to stay in the room with the window open all night which was noisy as car park right...
Read moreReceptionist at the premier inn Falkirk North was excellent room was clean but the normal bed used in premier inns was not there the headboard was a good 300 mm wider than the bed meaning the bed was only a standar double. We changed to this premier because we had a email from Falkirk Central where we were originally booked saying the Restaurant was closed indefinitely. The Bar / Restaurant at this premier had no draught beer due to having a problem with the fast system I found it strange as the drinks list had no prices on any of the draft beers which makes me think this will soon be another Bar/Restaurant closing. Feel sorry for all the staff who will soon be loosing there jobs. I think they still intend to serve breakfast so proberbley get the breakfast staff to clean the...
