I recently stayed at Premier Inn and would like to share my experience.

Starting with the positives, the room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean—exactly what you’d hope for in a hotel stay. The housekeeping and room facilities met my expectations and made for a restful night.

However, the breakfast experience was quite disappointing. There was a clear lack of organization among the staff, particularly in how tables were allocated, leading to confusion and unnecessary delays.

A particularly troubling incident occurred at the breakfast counter. As I was about to serve myself some beans, the chef abruptly took the serving spoon from my hand without any explanation or apology. A staff member later mentioned that he needed to refill the tray, although it already appeared full. I stepped away to the drink station and noticed another guest—possibly of Indian descent—approach the food area, only to have the same chef throw serving spoons toward him. It was a shocking display of either poor customer service or, more concerning, discriminatory behavior.

Later, I observed the same staff member cleaning chairs with her bare hands, which raises hygiene concerns—especially in a dining area.

I sincerely hope Premier Inn takes this feedback seriously and invests in better training for its breakfast staff. A welcoming and respectful environment is essential, and I believe there’s room for significant improvement...

We went for a family weekend away and we found the hotel to be very family friendly. The two rooms were spacious, one was a family room and the other was a twin room. The rooms were clean, as was the bathroom. There were plenty of spare towels, and extra pillows were available in the room.

We paid for the cooked breakfast and got the kids breakfasts free. The breakfast selection was good and was yummy, the kids especially enjoyed that it was unlimited.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and soft.

The only downside to this hotel is that the rooms don't have air conditioning! We stayed at the beginning of July and found that the rooms were very hot and it made it difficult to sleep at night, it was uncomfortably hot. The staff tried to help by providing an additional fan (there is already a fan in each room), this helped a little, but it was still pretty warm.

We found that there was plenty to do with the kids nearby in Linlithgow and Livingston; we attended a jousting festival at Linlithgow Palace, and took the kids to Innoflate.

Overall I would highly...

i have stayed in a lot of premier inn's up and down the country and this place has to be the worst one,we booked in for the weekend as we had a wedding at the vu,once we had picked up the card it was straight to the room but the smell of sick was so overbearing,i had to go reception but was told the hotel was fully booked and i should open the window which was already opened when i explained this the girl on reception (who was really nice it has to said) said that she would spray something, that didn't help. the only good thing about our stay was that as we only stay half an hour away so we were able to go home on the friday night and travel up on the saturday morning get changed into our wedding stuff and stay out of the room as long as possible.i would have went home on the saturday night as well but that would have been two fully paid up night's wasted.even if i had made a fuss the hotel was fully booked so nothing could have been done.the room number was 114 just incase someone else gets...

We had a lovely stay at Livingston Bathgate. Our first time visiting Scotland and we will Definately be back, and staying there again! Very polite, courteous and helpful staff all over. Breakfast was lovely as it always is at premier inn. We had our two sons with us and the 18 year old has autism and they let him stay in the same room as us as a child which not many places would have done, so as a family we thank premier inn for that.! Can’t fault the cleanliness of the rooms at all, absolutely wonderful and clean. Overall a lovely hotel with wonderful staff and will definately recommend and be back again soon.

Not bad, room was ok , wondered why I had a room with a double bed and a single bed in it. Paid £419 for 3 nights (not bad) but then in the morning breakfast wasn't included, £10-99 full English or £8-99 for continental. No USB ports, thought we were in 2024. Not a lot of laces to put your clothes and luggage.

It's been a great stay. Room is a good size. Everything in the room is super clean. Love to have a bath so this is 100% great when choosing where to stay. Staff have been helpfull and friendly. It is also located next to a Carvery 👌🏻 big 👍🏻for this place. Only 10mim drive from Designer Outlet Livingston.
