What a fantastic campsite. Christine, (the owner) has done a wonderful job of creating a spacious, family friendly and well equipped campsite. Ample space to enjoy, with no restrictions on pitch size as far as I can make out, with plenty of water tap outlets for drinking water dotted about There are also numerous portaloo stations and a decent shower block with 24hr on demand hot water. Well lit too so late night or early morning showers are possible. There is also a wash basin block for hand and face washing, also with constant hot water, as too are the wash up facilities which are also ample. An 11pm music cut off and loud noise restriction is in place so as to keep the place respectful to all. This isn't a curfew, so quiet campfire evenings can be enjoyed till late. Christine also offers safe wood burners for hire, along with all the wood supplies you need. Reasonably priced too. This campsite is beautiful, and over the years we have visited, only positive things have been added.

From the moment we called up to book Christina was so helpful and welcoming. The campsite is lovely with great shower/washing facilities, spacious and complimentary fire pits. We forgot to bring our plates for the BBQ and Christina very kindly lent us some for the night. The next morning she gave us some great advise on what to visit and where to grab a bite to eat. We have had a lovely stay and felt so welcome and comfortable. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to camp in the Dorset area!

Beautiful location for a Sunday arrival to enjoy the bank holiday at Lulworth Cove without a commute. Excellent facilities, plenty of space, no chaotic music or loud parties for a change. Welcomed! Well organised and clean. Hot water and showers were awesome. The hosts were super friendly. Highly recommend building a Fire pit for the experience. If you enjoy the company of dogs, there we plenty to stroke and say hello to. Will look forward to staying again, loved it!

Lovely relaxed campsite with decent facilities. We had a warm welcome to the site by the staff there who were very informative. We arrived later than 9pm due to van issues and phoned to let the site know - The staff had no problem with us arriving late at all. ||The site is a free for all pick where you want to camp kind of site. Plenty of space and option for group camping. ||The facilities were basic but everything you would need. ||- Please be aware before booking that the toilets are portable toilets, we knew this beforehand and are not bothered but I know some people weren't expecting them. The toilets were emptied everyday of our 3 day stay. The toilets were generally clean and well kept. There isn't that many toilets per person if the site is busy but we only had to queue twice. No lights in toilets - Quite good though as there was no bugs inside! - Remember to bring a good torch!||The showers, sinks and washing up area was at the entrance to the campsite and generally set aside from everything else but only a small walk away! ||- There was 3 showers, each had their own changing area with lots of space to put your things. The showers themselves were portable but were very spacious and the water was lovely and warm and good pressure. We didn't have to queue for the showers but we went about 5pm and after we showered there was a queue of 4 people. I would suggest showering during the day rather than the evening/morning as it got quite busy.||- There was a set of 6 sinks I believe where you could go to wash/brush teeth etc. We didn't use there ourselves but they looked clean and wasn't busy.||- The washing up area had 4 sinks with drying areas. The water pressure did depend on the others there at the time but after a little wait it would work. Enough space to wash up and warm water. Once again we didn't have to queue for these either!||The location was great and one of the main reasons we picked the site. About a 15 minute drive from Durdle Door. Lots of places to visit nearby as well. Please note there wasn't many supermarkets by and we drove quite a while for a smaller Tesco but it was on the way back from somewhere so didn't bother us.||The site was generally very relaxed, no problems with our van being let on the site. We have partly converted our van into a campvervan but from the exterior it still looks like a normal van.||The people at the site were overall respectful of the rules, music to be turned off at 9 but you can stay up later. A couple groups had very loud music but this was turned off around 9. Some groups did stay up chatting past midnight though but it didn't really bother us. ||Seemed like a great site for kids with a woods at the site which included a swing or two.||Overall we would choose to go here again if we were visiting the area. The price was decent (especially for a bank holiday) and the site had everything you would need on a campsite. We would recommend this site for a chilled, relaxed,...

The welcome was wonderful. Host was welcoming and explained everything clearly. Site is basic but clean and has everything you need - hot showers, washing up area, clean portaloos. |Then it all went a bit downhill... we were told no open campfires due to the heat and fire risk but we could bbq. Not a problem. We set up our bbq, far away from all tents and had a bucket of water ready just in case. We finished cooking and popped two small pieces of wood so our children could roast marshmallows. The host came over being really harsh about our 'fire'. I apologised and said I thought it would be OK on the bbq, which was covered and pointed out we had a bucket of water ready so hadn't intended to break the rules. She continued to rant, no acceptance of our apology. We put it out of course. |That same night, numerous guests arrived and pitched up at 1130pm - midnight. Very annoying. Cars driving in and out until gone midnight, often very fast. |1130pm - 2am there was loud music, shouting and swearing from numerous pitches and 3 huge campfires bellowing flames. No sign of staff. I called and text numerous times but no response. I would've asked our neighbours to stop but they were being quite threatening so I thought best not. |The next morning I approached the host. She questioned me and said there were no fires at 1130pm when she last checked. She said they're out for the count overnight so she hadn't heard my calls/texts. I'm surprised considering how worried she was about the few controlled flames on our bbq. It was only when another camper backed me up she accepted I wasn't fabricating the story. Then she just walked off. No offer of refund or genuine apology for such an awful night. For the next 24 hours the rudeness continued... I am not a petty person so when I wished her good morning the next day she literally ignored me. |Totally ruined our weekend away. Not a family friendly site at all. We will never return and would not recommend. I am guessing we wouldn't be welcomed back as I clearly upset...

Liked: We spent the week camping here in a large family group of mixed ages between 1 & 65. The site was large and spacious which allowed us to all pitch together and create a social space between our tents. The site was spotless, the facilities are basic but were always clean with hot water in the showers and toilets well stocked with loo roll! The owners were friendly, helpful and very welcoming. We hired a firepit for the week and brought top up logs which was great for keeping warm and toasting marshmallows. The firepit was a washing machine drum which worked well and the fire was easily started and the wood was well seasoned. There is a noise curfew after 11pm and before 7am. During our stay there was a lovely atmosphere of groups chatting, listening to music at an acceptable level and children playing. When one group were a little noisy after 11 this was quickly dealt with by the owners. We paid for the late check out which worked well as we were a large group and after a week of camping had lots of sorting to do. The flexibility of the site worked well and this was a real bonus. The campsite is in a great location for a peaceful break and close to lots of places to visit. The location of the campsite as with many areas in Dorset does mean phone signal and Internet can be patchy. I had full signal and 4g at the campsite with Tesco mobile however others in our party had nothing. If you want a campsite with access to technology this may not be the site for you.

Thank you to Christina and family for being so welcoming, we had a great week. We will definitely be returning!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike! A great...
