Pucks Glen Lodges (Calltainn) — Hotel in Great Britain

My wife & I shared a weekend here recently (fortunately the weather was (mostly) terrific.

The log cabin itself was very clean & tidy, with everything you need for a few days self catering, my only criticism was that the silicone around the bath & shower needs to be replaced but other than that both the water pressure is quite poor & the wi-fi is not very strong or consistent (probably as you should expect being so very rural) however the cabin is really cozy & otherwise well maintained.

It is very easy to access/find the cabins, only a couple of miles from Dunoon & directly adjacent to the main road (I think some folks complain about the main road noise, but COME ON, the road isn't that busy & your always going to find fault when your deliberately searching for it.

There was also some nice wee welcoming touches as well that was greatly appreciated .

I'm a solo hiker, who explores forest trails and hills. This place is commuter friendly as it is only less than a mile away from the bus station. The hosts provide elaborate suggestions on places to go in Dunoon and they respond promptly to text messages. They also provide a handy guidebook in the place. The house is well-equipped with cooking utensils, dishwasher, bath soaps, and towels. I'm surprised at how fast their internet connection is for a rural place. Beautiful location, surrounded by wildlife like deer and red squirrels. Just a few lodges on the site make it feel less crowded and offer more privacy than other sites.

Cracking lodges with plenty of space for 2 to 4 people. Plenty of pots, pans and utensils. Even puzzles and board games.

The hosts couldn't do more to make you feel welcome, with a wealth of ideas, hints and tips. They really care about the place. You can feel this in the quality of the furnishings and the bedding. A high standard of communication.
