Really sorry it wasn't quite the picture they showed online and more of a bog-standard B&B. I agree with the reviews that it is pretty and the robotic milking machines on the cow's udders are indeed striking... As is the overall metal look and feel of the mud sprayed enclosures, cows behind bars and timid calfs. Could be cleaner and quieter but I appreciate it is a farm and they've got a lot on their hands. Breakfast was hearty and the staff rush around you aiming to please, red faced and eager. They attempt to create a relaxed feel but it felt stuffy and heavy. A heavy atmosphere is how I'd describe it. Was let down that it's not the picturesque, idyllic farm I read about online. That's why I'm writing this review, because I was let down. Read moreWe stayed for 2 nights at Pyrland Farm as we were attending a wedding at nearby Hestercombe Gardens which is approximately 1 ½ miles away. It couldn’t have been a more convenient location.|Mary, the owner, was away for the weekend so we didn’t get to meet her but we met the rest of the family who were all very friendly and Sammy (one of the daughter’s) stepped into Mary’s shoes admirably for breakfast duties.|The rooms (we took 2 x doubles as 4 of us) were spacious & quite comfortable.|Best of all, as country lovers, we really enjoyed being on the farm and watching the robotic milking system, the calves and much more....

All bad press was concerning one worker who was dismissed - it's incredibly childish and short-sighted that some narrow-minded and I can only assume, uneducated people, would tar a business with the same brush as one of its (now dismissed) employees.
