Rubbish experience there for wedding. Check-in was chaotic even though was already paid for under a mass group booking. Would have double charged had we not questioned it! Got quite argumentive and asking for further payments until eventually on chatting to central office and lodge manager it was eventually resolved after 40min. Got room which was dirty, looked like bird poo on the couch, and musky stuffy and wee like smell in the room. Worse still I discover None of the bedsheets have been changed. Luckily I checked because of covid. This was extremely alarming! There was sh17 stains on the cushion and sheets, blonde & light brown pubic hair in the bed, and other watery stains in the sheets. Absolutely disgusting!!! I complained to front desk, who couldn't see the issues from the clear pictures!?! Though she said she would change the sheets etc! Absolutely disgusted the room should have been cleaned properly and given covid and the fact they have a early checkout 10am and updated check-in until after 3pm, and we still didn't even arrive until 4pm they could atleast have Rooms ready! To be fair to the last at front desk she changed sheets promptly. That was all. I would have preferred another room. Also other members of wedding party had issues but didn't bother complaining, or did and not much done. For example, another person (from london) in wedding party has ridiculous checkin problems as he had a booming confirmation and it had been cancelled by them and they couldn't do find it! On top of that she is started to spout out random indian na names from her list to say is an that u is an that u?! Ridiculous even though the guy given her his na name about 5 times! They seem not to care much as they get enough business I think! I had a horrid might sleep, hardly slept. Slept right on edge of the bed even though sheets changed it did t feel clean. Did t bother to shower went home to do that! The shower was not v good and bathroom stunk. The toilet seat was also wobbly and the bathroom had 1/2 loo roll and none of the tops where sink and top toilet were were clean as had stains from cup holders. Absolutely disgusting experience. I would never book again unfortunately it was booked by the wedding party for is as was only hotel nearby. Lady wood estate! Must be one of the worst experiences in a UK hotel ever. Do not reccomend.

On the whole it was pleasant experience. I would describe it as a 3 star hotel Just.... Staff were helpful. Breakfast to be frank is not a continental. That's a bit posh for basically sliced bread from Londis and yoghurts. Also help.yourself so perhaps not the most hygienic. I was hoping for a bit more..perhaps croissants. Cold ham and cheese. The shower was tricky and did not want to stay on and although running hot on bath taps would run r cold out of shower. The main issue was there being only one plug socket making tricky to charge phones and iPads make tea and run the fan. Yes there was a fan. The view from.the room.was.amazing although windows a bit dirty. Bed was comfy and relatively quiet given main road close by. Yes there are some quibbles but actually a family room for three nights summer school holidays at under 160 quid I think is good value for .money and good location I would go back again if theyll have us after this review so that's a positive

The hotel situated in beautiful scenery and there is a nice looking restraunt next door but we didn't have time to visit. Our room was averagly priced but on the whole better than average standard. Large room with en-suite bathroom and good size T.V. However we do have a few niggles. The breakfast arrangements were inadequate for the number of guests. There were about 6 tables crammed into the hotel lobby which anyone entering or leaving the building would have to pass. Also the food was on a worktop fitted beneath the main staircase which ment the heat from the toaster and water boiler made it very very warm when climbing the stairs back to your rooms especially in the current heatwave. Also we had to sleep with windows closed due to the numbers of crane flies getting in. This made for a sticky night especially as the rooms had no air conditioning.

We booked this lodge last year for 4 nights as going to my husbands daughters wedding at Rutland Hotel.|Very reasonable rates and was well within our budget. |Room, while not spotless was clean and tidy as was the bathroom- again not brilliant but was OK for us. Shower is nice and hot and powerful with hand soap dispenser and shower gel dispenser. Bed comfortable with extra pillow and quilt as there was also a sofa bed I'm the room too. Was very hot, windows only open a certain amount but a fan is provided. |Breakfast is complimentary and consists of cereals, yogurts, tea, coffee, toast , butter ,jam and a selection of sealed croissants and pain au chocolates. |This is in the reception area but was OK with us and you just help yourself to the toaster, hot water urn and microwave. |Reception staff very friendly and helpful as was the house keeping lady. They also sell supplies like Bic razors, tampons, sanitary products, toothpaste and tooth brushes, pot noodles soft drinks and beers etc. and you also have the convenience of the garage next door as well as being off the A47. Also parking and the convenience of being on a main route. Close to Rutland Water and cycling routes and some lovely pubs about 15-20 minutes away.|There is a garage next door, a cafe that serves breakfast all day, lunches etc and an Indian. |This suited our needs perfectly, but if you're looking for a spa hotel then book one- it's like a Travel Lodge etc.|We liked it. We paid £240 for 4 nights which was good considering that some local hotels were charging that for 1 night , albeit they had more facilities. |No lift .|We found it...

The worst experience ever. First we booked with Jerald who advised us that Rutland Water is just across the road, where water sports activities in. We also asked if it is opened, he said it is fully operated every day , which is not. It has caused us £100 taxis to go there and was closed. Wrong information. He has booked my name wrongly and we spend half an hour trying to locate the reservation. Reception refused on arrival for us to use the toilets claiming that it is not opened to the public, I have tried to explain that we will be staying at the hotel. Later on the day, the receptionist was helpful, but has given us our 2nd room which smells so badly , even she said that. We explained what happened and told them will be a day early C/O as there is nothing to do. She apologized and said that the manager will do something for sure. Manager came up to say we will not charge you cancellation fees.. I was out of words. Jerald advised us that there is a nice restaurant at the hotel, which is opened,.. it is not ,, it is closed. we had to order a take away. We asked for late check out , only an hour tell we sort transportation as we have to go early. In the morning the manager shouts at me and said customers are not the one to issue rules.. I had nothing to say .. except worse experience, rooms are so dirty, we have not slept as the toilet was out of order, not enough toilet paper.. the sink full of hairs.. I am going to file a complain with trading standard and relevant authority. hotel = hospitality which you do not have .. hotel = friendly environment which...
