Fantastic family campsite. We had an electric pitch here for 6 nights. Fantastic facilities with the pool and hot tub to entertain kids. Staff and owner are very friendly. The electric pitches are quite close together, so not ideal if you're after privacy, but it does create a great community vibe with all the kids running about playing together. There are two different toilet/washing facilities, one set attached to the house which is your more standard "indoor" facilities with toilet cubicles, shower cubicles, hairdryers etc. The second set are in-between the electric pitches and the safari tents are are your more rustic facilities, with wooden hut toilet and showers and Belfast sink washing up facilities. Rustic but not basic, the showers here were my favourite. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel by "Bramley" were provided. These are lovely products, my only (and very small) gripe here was that I found these empty on a few occasions, but the site was quite busy when we were there - lots of demand! The site overall felt very secluded and secure, nice little wooded area with a swing for the kids. You do have to keep an eye on the younger ones though as there is a deep pond on the site. The site was starting to quiet down by about 9/10pm so excellent when you've got exhausted small people you're trying to get to bed. The swimming pool is a good size and open from 10am to 7pm. The main pool is all one depth (approx 1mtr) and a decent temp for swimming. Good sized hot tub was very hot but lovely on aching muscles after a bike ride in the new Forrest! Firepits are available for use by campers, a little shop selling fire wood, marshmallows and local butchers meat. On Saturday night a local pizza firm pitched up and it was AMAZING. Lots to do in the local area, definitely recommend Moors Valley Park for a visit. A short drive down the road with lots to do for the family. All in all an excellent stay and will definitely be returning.

is a very very pleasant place. You do however need to be aware that this is a clothes optional club,so if you have objections to naturisem do not go. If on the other hand you are not narrow minded, you may just have a brilliant time. I have been a naturist all my life, and I found this place is excellent. To start with the staff. The manager is absolutely fantastic, nothing is to much trouble. And the staff are the same. A very warm welcome, and very attentive. The facilities are second to none And everything is keep spotlessly clean. The toilets and showers are excellent. And the various types of accommodation the one thing that really disappointed me. On the web site it shows well appointed caravans with kitchens and bathrooms. While I must say when booking I was told that I would have to ues the toilets and showers in the shared facilities. That was no problem whatsoever. But on arrival I found that nothing in the caravan was functional. No oven no grill no fridge. Instead there was a four way electric daptor run into the van through a window. So I effect what I had was a kettle, a lamp, heater and bed. Not exactly the well appointed caravan that was advertised. This did not perticually bother me, as i was working and no on holiday, but if I had booked for a weeks holiday, I would have had something to say. However I do not blame the manager at all.

I don't want to review as I like this being a hidden gem, but this really is an extremely rare campsite/retreat. This is our second visit and are already going back next month! If you want me either relax, enjoy family time, get away as a couple, or just enjoy camping, this site has it all, you can be busy playing ping-pong or jumping in the pool, or you can be relaxing in the woods, the only 25/30 minutes from the busy bustling seaside town of Bournemouth with sand, sea and fun things to do. There are communal firepits and bbqs to meet new people or enough space to enjoy some private family time. With only a few safari lodges and fewer camping pitches, it's a nice place to enjoy some rest, the only sad is when you have to leave. Keep up the great work guys, we will be back, time and time again!

We stayed for 4 days in Jul.

The entrance is not the easiest to find (although it is marked very well, the toad itself makes it hard to see and google map does not help!).

As you walk in, you get a pleasant surprise how well the property is looked after.

We spent the first day swimming and so on. It was great. The swimming pool was warm (it is covered pool which retains heat well) and hot tub was always helpful. The water was clean (not salty water nor strong odour of chemicals). It was great given it rained almost everyday. The only thing to add is, the water is 1.3m deep!! Not 1m!!! Make sure your kids are well equipped for it.

Then we moved onto the barbecue at out designated fire pit. It is a large pan with 3 legs with grill but no lead (it has a metal cover but no barbecue lead to slow cook your food). The grill needed some cleaning and finding the tools was not as obvious. But the site manager and caretaker was great and helpful.

We gathered some waste cardboard boxes and some dead woods from the forest around it. There are plenty of dead woods around. No need to really bring your woods or charcoal. Collecting woods is not as easy (especially with rain) but my children and other children who helped us loved it (we bribed them with marshmallows!).

We bought some sausages, burgers and steaks (all frozen) from the site office. The sausage was amazing, even for my kids who does not normally enjoy processed meat. We were discussing whether we should buy some more to take home.

The site manager was super professional, the caretaker Andy was firm but amazing help. He will make sure you stay safe even when you are collecting woods. The woods we collected were amazing, adding the wonderful flavour to the meat. It was far better than the charcoal we took with us. My family absolutely loved it.

There is a Londi shop, a short drive away. They sell the giant mashmallows and everyone loved it. We roasted them every day.

The best part was the other guests. My kids got along so well with other kids and they were having a blast in the swimming pool and outside (especially in the forest). They played so many games and they exchanged contacts and so on. It might been little less interesting for teens but any preteen would love the place.

Last note on the facility. The property we stayed was well heated (timed each morning and evening), and it was clean. The kitchen was well prepared. One thing to add is, bring your own coffee. They have nespressi machine but no capsules. We opted to driving down to Furlough shopping mall, which was very pleasant experience. The bathroom was well maintained and towels were clean and well stocked.

We do not normally go camping but this certainly was the high end of camping. The property does not come with a high end price tag but the experience was very close to being high end glamping.

We are considering to return for short breaks soon. It was a very pleasant experience and would not hesitate to...

We have just spent three nights here. Mum, dad and 11 year old daughter. We camped on a non electric pitch. Our aim was to have an amazing family time but also for our daughter to, hopefully, meet other kids and enjoy playing in the natural surroundings. And we weren't disappointed. Our daughter is exhausted. From swimming in the pool, using the jacuzzi and cycling around the totally safe and car free site, to catching crayfish in the stream, swinging in the trees and playing badminton she didn't stop for the entire time. It was brilliant. The owners are a young couple who purchased the site earlier this year. They clearly have big plans for the site and are personable, welcoming and very friendly. Due to other commitments (they are transitioning from other careers) their were periods when they weren't present on the site (although when they were there they were always visible) I was amazed at how hard they worked. However, I felt that they may have been a little stretched and there were short periods of the day when this was noticeable. The shower block by the pool became a little dirty in the evenings with lots of water across the floors and the sinks too dirty to be able to place toiletries next to. The free toiletries were sometimes not topped up. The water at the washing up stations was cold more often than not. But....I'm absolutely certain that these small issues will be resolved when the owners manage to re-jig their busy schedules to focus more on the site. We had a great time. It was magical and we met loads of people. It was exactly what we were hoping for and despite the minor niggles we would highly recommend Rivendell park. Best of luck to the owners who will, no doubt, take the site to...
