Rockfoot B & B — Hotel in Great Britain

We only stayed one night as a stopover on our way from Ballater heading south to the Lake District. It’s a lovely B&B on a working farm. Our en-suite room was lovely, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and with views over fields down to the river. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The attention to detail was incredible with a wide selection of toiletries provided in the en-suite. Moira the host was a lovely lady and nothing was too much trouble for her. Breakfast was terrific. Even though we were the only guests staying that evening there was a wonderful selection of cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juices and yogurts. We stayed in this lovely B&B last night to attend a wedding in fintry. | Moira was so warm, welcoming and accommodating. |The accommodation is clean, tidy, well decorated and homely. It’s peaceful, private and welcoming. The rooms are well laid out to maximise space with everything you would need for a stay and lovely clean pressed linen. Bathrooms are a good size as is the shower with great pressure and some toiletries in the event you forget anything and lovely towels. |The views is amazing, we luckily were blessed with the sun when we arrived but even without the sun this morning it’s not a view you would tire of. |The breakfast was equally lovely and enjoyable with lots of choice and great conversation with Moira. |We will happily return for...

The Rockfoot B&B was in the heart of the Campsie Dells and centrally located for our trips to Edinburgh, Loch Lomond, Sterling, The Devil’s Pulpit, Glasgow and points south and east. Moira was a perfect host and a good cook. As many of our stays we chose this for its remote location away from cities and it is very much a working farm with a very large flock of sheep. Our room was excellent and everything was perfectly clean. Moira took time to answer many of our questions and made us feel at home.
