Rockpool House — Hotel in Great Britain

We have used self-catering accommodation in Scotland many times over the last 30 years, but it’s no exaggeration to say that Rockpool House apartment is by far the best we have ever stayed in. It is beautifully appointed, immaculately presented and offers stunning views of Loch Sunart and Morvern beyond. Our hosts, Lynne and Steven, were very welcoming and could not have been more helpful.

It’s a great place to base yourself if you wish to explore either Ardnamurchan peninsula or visit places a little further afield, though to be honest, you might struggle to drag yourself away from those views and the wildlife on your doorstep.

Whilst there, it’s worth visiting Steven’s gallery, his landscape photographs of the surrounding area are amazing.

We’re very much looking forward to returning to Rockpool House later in the year and doing it all again.

Postscript: We returned for our second visit in September and are delighted to report that it was just as wonderful as our first. Yet another wonderful stay at Rockpool House for New Year. We’ll never tire of the view from the living room window and watching the occasional seal or even otter swim by. As usual everything was pristine and perfect and the freshly made bread and eggs from Steven and Lynnes hens along with other goodies was an added arrival treat. We had a brilliant week at Rockpool House. Beautifully situated, the apartment is very well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The scenery is wonderful, the roads were very quiet even at the end of June and driving was a pleasure. Steven and Lynne are great hosts and Steven is a mine of information about the area.
