Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights in Shakti. The 2 yurts are set in sprawling fields next to an ancient woodland. The kids (6 and 3) loved meeting the various animals across the farm, exploring the woodland trails and listening to the birdsong. The yurts themselves are connected to a large private deck with a well equipped cooking area and a BBQ and fire pit for the evenings. The yurts are perfectly positioned for easy access to all the best beaches the Gower has to offer. Everything you need is provided but you still feel like you are back to nature (bring ear plugs and an eye blind if the 4am June sunrise and bird chorus will wake you). Very relaxing. Lovely owners, friendly cat, dog, goats, horses. Plenty of walking trails nearby. It's a beautiful peaceful tranquil place whatever the weather (and ignore the weather forecast... this is West Wales, the weather will do what it wants to do). Look forward to...
Read moreWe stayed in a yurt at Seren Retreat with our family in August 2014 and had a wonderful time. The yurt was comfortable and cosy, with a well-equipped kitchen on the decked area outside. We were able to wander through the woods around the yurt and found some tranquil and beautiful places to take in. Our hosts were lovely and brought us firewood every day so that we could build our own fires in the pit next to our yurt, which the whole family enjoyed.
