What a wonderful few days at Tamar Valley Cottages. The very definition of peace and tranquillity. Sitting out on the patio with an early morning cuppa watching the sunrise, listening to the birdsong. It was glorious. And looking up into the sky late at night. No light polution so the stars were on show. I slept so well. The owners (Angela and Andrew) were lovely hosts, giving us recommendations and advice around the local area. We ventured out into Bude and did some lovely walks across the downs, The Sea Pool was amazing for swimming. Some great local places to eat and drink too. The Olive Tree was a nice place to sit by the canal and watch the world go by. But nice to come back to the Tamar Valley Cottages though. No offspring or doggy with us this time but the place is dog friendly and a great outdoor set up (Football, trampoline and small enclosed wooded areas) which would be great for children and families. Just the tonic for us and we will be back. PS - the homemade flapjacks on arrival were AMAZING!

We've stayed in the cottages for 10 years and have just had another lovely week from 29th March - 5th April 2025. We stayed in Bodrugan cottage which is very cosy and comfortable. There is everything you need and the beds are so nice with feather pillows and duvets. The grounds are great and my two dogs Holly and Charlie love running around chasing their toys. There are lots of Camelias in flower and daffodils coming out this Spring. The only sounds in the morning are the birds singing. We love Widemouth beach which is only about 20 minutes drive and half is dog friendly. There is a nice café called Black Rock cafe right next to the beach which does cooked food and home made cakes. We also like having a walk along the Bude canal which has lots of ducks and geese on the water. There are several other beaches around Bude too.

We booked this cottage one day before the stay as the weather forecast for the following week was glorious (and it was). What a wonderful stay. The owner was very friendly and answered questions very quickly. The value for money was really, really good. The cottage was spotlessly clean, had everything you need for a decent stay (we stayed a week and ate in every night) and was very private. The gardens, shaded by huge trees, provided a welcome reprieve from the mini June heatwave. You are 20 minutes away from the coast here and probably the same from a supermarket. Highly recommended if you want to explore the north Cornwall area. Thank you Angela for a wonderfully relaxing stay.

Just spent 5 nights in the fabulous Treneglos cottage. Outstanding all round; so well equipped all we needed was our personal effects, as even the smallest details were thought about and provided. The welcome snacks both human and canine were most appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed all round. The grounds and location is simply stunning, our stress levels went from 10 to 0 almost immediately due to the tranquility of the setting. We met David our host who couldn't do enough to ensure we were happy during our stay. Even our 3 dogs were so chilled and thoroughly enjoyed the freedom to roam in the grounds (supervised of course). I can't recommend or praise this place enough. Don't hesitate, just book it, you...
