went for Christmas lunch, aboustly awful booked for 1pm starters came 2.30, food was shocking. Pate unable to eat, main course was embrassing, frozen roast pots on xmas day!! this was meant to be a treat to my family. Felt embrassed. We mentioned to staff kindly no response. Emailed the next day and was told they had a chief didn't turn up, a bar staff down and potato supply let down. That is not my fault but was happy to take around £500 in total from us. No apology just rude. Should of known full payment upfront was strange. Got offered £10 each back !!! gutted beyond. Would never recommend.

I have been The bell a few times for meals and we always have good service but especially really nice food.

This is from when the previous owners had it and the current ones. The menu is limited however it really works and the quality is really good the past 12 months we have only been twice however there has not been any niggles with any of the groups meal.

My in laws requested if they could have Stilton sauce for their steak. No problem at all and they said how nice it was also.

It really is the little things like being able to cater for people even if it's not on the menu.

We arrived Sunday afternoon for an overnight stay. We were greeted by staff and seated very quickly. I had a beef dinner and my partner all 3 available meats on the menu. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere with attentive staff and we enjoyed our meal. |We had a beautiful room with a great view, the shower was fantastic and had a range of toiletries and also a tea and coffee, water and biscuits. We were greeted by Steve the next morning who made us a hearty breakfast.
