Highly recommend the Inn! Some reviews mention the room standard, but I believe it is exactly as expected for a small town Inn. The Ember bus is close by, affordable, and reliable. Even though it is a small town, cell service was not an issue. The rooms are spacious and the bed comfortable. The bathtub was perfect for a soak after long days of traveling. The water was warm and clean. The owners were kind and extremely accommodating. I stayed here while trying to find a place to live in Dundee as a graduate student. I was extremely impressed by the food. I have been disappointed by the overall restaurant quality in Dundee, and at this point I have traveled Scotland much and have yet to find food as delicious as the food here. It is fresh, comforting, and flavorful. Not to mention speedy. I will be coming back and bringing University friends in the near future. I had some issues with finding housing and the owners were beyond helpful. I couldn't find a phone charger that worked in my luggage and the waiter was kind enough to let me use his. What a life saver! The wifi is impressive and speedy. The locals are friendly and all the staff is beyond helpful. My stay exceeded my expectations and was very reasonable for the price. I was even in a hurry one morning and they did not hesitate to serve me efficiently. Longforgan is peaceful and quiet. The nearby walking trails are breathtaking, I will forever cherish my time at the Longforgan Inn. It was a breathtaking and peaceful start to my journey as an exchange student in Scotland.

!!! Only thing I will mention to non-UK travelers is that the hot water comes out EXTREMELY HOT in Scotland. I was unaware and did burn myself at one point. This is a universal truth of most bathrooms in the country and something I was just not used to as...

Worst place I have ever stayed in the room was so dirty unclean and so horrid it’s unreal there was mold all over the bathroom the room was filled with bugs and cobwebs and everything had not been dusted in years I was literally able to draw a picture with my finger on the bedside table with the dust ! The bed sheets smelt damp and used didn’t not smell clean at all ! And when removing the duvet the sheets were creased as if people had been lieing in it so clearly had not been changed! The carpet was coming off the floor and the carpet had not been cleaned/ vacuumed in months!!! Will never be back there it’s such a pitty too because the outside/court yard was very nice and very welcoming . And the staff we saw witch was only 2 they were rude and unfriendly when being showed our room the guy just pointed while smokeing a cigarette to the room and said “that one” and pinged his cigarette end on the floor in front of us and left . And then the next day we saw what we think was the house keeper going into rooms after waking us up at 7 am !!!! After trying to get into our room!! I used to be a housekeeper and was given a sheet that told me when the room was empty! They should do the same so rude while we are sleeping and trying to get in it to clean it made us feel so uncomfortable and felt like we needed to leave earlier than stated in the check out time there is a check out time for a reason !!!!

Clean...

We arrived and attempted to check in at the bar , I said hello I’m here to check in and the man said ‘wait’ and disappeared, never came back. However another member of staff appeared out of the kitchen and he was lovely , booked us in and took us to the room. Bearing in mind this was way after check in time he still had to move a big load of dirty laundry out the way so we could get in. The best thing I can say about the room is the beds were comfortable and the bedding and towels looked and smelt clean. It was an accessible room and one of the twin beds was electric. |The carpet is a disaster , no underlay , very old and didn’t fit well, the room just looked really tired and unclean, there’s no wardrobe just an industrial looking metal fixture with rusty baskets , once the window was opened we couldn’t get it closed again. The bathroom is a wet room but is tired and dirty looking with exposed wiring and a tap whose top kept falling off . There is so much accommodation available around this Dundee area and the price we paid for this stay did not reflect the room at all . Way overpriced . The food states ‘chef ‘ this and ‘chef’ that but is very basic...

I loved this place , budget friendly and clean, our room was spacious, the beds were comfy , and the bathroom was a good size, too. The food was delicious at a great price, and the haggis that was part of our breakfast was yummy !!!! We travelled the next day in to Dundee with no problem at all . Altogether, it is a very friendly, respectably priced hotel. I will definitely stay again ! Thank you so much to the lovely young woman who was working her first solo ish🤣 shift that evening. You did an excellent job. An the elephant towels that were sitting on the beds to greet us were a lovely highlight. I have to say great touch!!!!!

Up on a fishing trip to nearby Loch. The accommodation whilst basic was spotlessly clean, had everything you need, and very comfortable. After a long day's fishing was great to come back and get a beer, a wee sleep, then head down for dinner which was perfect. Faultlessly delivered and very tasty. I have to say, I've never had four bits of garlic bread with my lasagne(which was delicious) before. My scotch broth starter was fab. Hot roll, nice touch. After a teriffic night's sleep, we had a great breakfast, toast, orange juice, full Scottish, at a very fair price Great stay... Will be back.
