My partner and I decided to book a weekend away at The Secret Yurts (Birch yurt) in November 2021 and what a fantastic stay it was! We were both blown away by the yurt itself - the fire was already lit, hot tub on and candles burning upon our arrival, and the facilities were excellent - each yurt has it's own private, heated shower room and toilet, and also a kitchen area. Not to mention the lovely, warm welcome from our hosts and all of their tips and recommendations for our time there. The yurt and facilities were super clean and private, and we had everything we needed for our stay. The only thing I would recommend is bringing warm clothes as the temperature can drop after the fire burns out.
The location was also brilliant, and we did a lot of exploring around Wales during our trip - loads of fresh air and beautiful walks. It's the perfect weekend away if you're looking for an experience that's a bit different, and also allows you to completely switch off from your busy day-to-day life and enjoy some relaxation.

Read moreOur Yurt "Oak" was beautiful with candles that added a magical touch, the mattress and duvet were of high quality. Expect some flys due to the surrounding nature, a solution for this was provided by the host. Bathroom was modern, clean and spacious, The towels were of high quality, however, I would've liked a matt in the bathroom as the shower had no curtain.
We used a shared Kitchen which was fully equipped and clean, and we enjoyed preparing our breakfast and then drinks for the hot tub. Although our yurt comes with a small private hot tub and limited kitchen, we got to use the big kitchen and hot tub as we were the only ones there. The big hot tub was great, lovely sound system that connects over Bluetooth.
A bit of a downside for our experience was the lack of lights in the pathways from the car park to the place, also around and to the yurt as the beauty of the place was missed at night, especially in long...
Read moreWe've just returned from the most amazing little gem of a place. We stayed in Rowan Yurt (which doesn't allow dogs) but there are 2 other dog friendly yurts on the site. We were met by the owner Michelle who simply had thought of everything for the perfect stay. She showed us around, explained everything and nothing felt too much trouble. Each yurt has its own sumptuous private wet room, a hot tub, and a BBQ. There is also a shared kitchen building which is kept immaculately clean and restocked. We even had some apple and caramel pie! The yurt itself is beautifully decorated and warm and cosy. The bed and furnishings were comfy and luxurious. We literally loved hearing the birdsong in the morning and being in the middle of the trees stargazing from the hot tub was priceless. A special shoutout to Michelle and Phil's 2 German Shepherd dogs who were delightful. THANK YOU and we will definitely...
